Moving tokens from map to map

Having trouble moving player tokens from one map to another.  My players tokens are on the landing page.  I copy one character token, switch to another page, and do a paste but nothing appears on the new page.

Hmm, this might be a long shot but do the tokens have anything selected for the drop-down menu "Represents" in the token settings when you double click them?
Yes each token shows the name of the assigned character in the "Represents" drop down

Are you able to drag their token out to the new page from the player section? If so, I'm at a loss other than recommending the basic troubleshooting steps: Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser     Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome  and  Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20     Please disable  all  add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the player section.  This is what I see - I can only drag the character tokens around within the area of this splash page - nowhere else. I was using Chrome.  I tried using Firefox but there I cannot even copy a token, meaning after doing a copy command the paste command is not active in the Firefox File menu.  I'll try your other two suggestions.
I had this same problem when I started playing here. I found a simple solution: I select a token, Ctrl-C to copy, change to new map, CLICK ON THAT MAP at the location where I want to place the token, CTRL-V
Thanks - tried that but no luck.  It seems like the problem is that the token isn't being copied.

You need to use the Canvas commands to copy tokens - the tabletop contents are not available to Firefox copy & paste from the Firefox menu (I believe it's just a flat image by the time the browser window renders it). Right click on the token, and you should get a grey rectangular menu open up - use the copy & paste from in there. Although ctrl-c and ctrl-v (or Mac equivalent) should also work.
There we go - thanks very much Oosh!  I was able to get a menu to pop up with a right click on the token, and then could copy the token and paste it to a map.  Thanks to all who tried to help.

Yeah, a pasted object appears at the last click location. That being said, I usually Ctrl-CCCCCC and Ctrl-V, since sometimes that first Ctrl -C doesn't seem to register. If your tokens are set up properly though, this is rarely necessary. You can always drag a new instance out from the Journals tab. Procedure below the line, in case you need it. Here is the wiki article on  Linking Tokens to Journals Here is a  video  which demoes the procedure

I use cntrl-c and cntrl-v with tokens all the time to do this (windows and when I had a mac).
