5E - Compendium Sharing - Do I share the current Adventure?

Hi, I've used roll20 as a player for six months. Now I'm going to DM a campaign and I'm getting prepared. I want to share the books I own in my compendium with the players. If I share the adventure itself, will that just give them the player relevant portions, or does that also give them 'secret' DM info from the adventure?  Sorry I'm sure that's a very basic question, but I wasn't able to determine it.  Thanks!

They will have access to compendium info. If there are spells or classes that come with the adventure, they will likely have access to those, for character building purposes. They will not have access to any of the adventure text. They will have nothing that appears in the adventure's Journal Tab.

If you would like to experience beforehand, Roll20 has a number of free modules. If you create a game with one and sign in with a  Dummy Account , you should get a fairly good idea of the differences between GM and player experience.

Your purchases are only available in games you create. Sharing only allows players to access the material within that game. If you have a free account, you can use the books in as many games as you wish, but you can only share the content with players in one of them at a time.

Correct. The items shareable in a game are the ones owned by the game's creator, not whoever happens to be GM.
