Transparent Tokens in Roll20 Module Baldur's Gate [Spoilers for location names and maps]

I am in the process of setting up my Baldur's Gate game and have started adding some colourful background maps to the pages. In most cases this has worked as anticipated, but on the Low Lantern I am seeing a strange effect. All of the tokens were Transparent and now that I have put a detailed image in the background the effect is more obvious. In the screenshot below only the Cloaked Female Commoner Prynn is on the GM layer, everything else is on the token layer and you can clearly see the planks of the deck through them. Can anyone think what could be causing this effect? I deleted my colour background to return to the original B/W image and while it is much more difficult to see without texture beneath, the tokens are still transparent. UPDATE: I have invited a player in to inspect the game and they see the tokens as fully opaque both with and without the colourful background so this is only a rendering issue for GM view.
Found it. It was explorer mode. I hadn't ever used it before and didn't expect it to be on by default. This question can be closed.
