Plea for Help

Over quarantine, I belt a gaming table with an integrated TV. All I want to use Roll20 for is to be able to upload my maps and use a basic fog of war. All I want to be able to do is have rooms be hidden until the players enter them. I don't care about enemy tokens (as I will be using minis on the table). All I want is to have one computer in front of me (the DM) which controls everything, the rest of the players will be looking at the TV (essentially a second Monitor). I want to be able to reveal rooms one at a time (or have multiple displayed at once in the event of the players split the party.) I've spent the entire day on youtube trying to figure this out and am pulling out my hair. There must be a way to use the software in such a limited way without having to create character sheets and the like. Can anyone point me in the right direction before I give up and dispute the charges on my credit card?

Free version fog of war but you will need two free accounts one for and one for the players https://wiki.roll20.net/Fog_of_War https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUBcd9yWio0&ab_channel=FollowMe%2CAndDie%21

As David says, the trick is to use two user accounts. You have one account which your GM account (with the Plus membership) that you do GM things with. You add a second account to the game, which can be a free account. The important part is to create a character and add this account as owner. You can then move this character around on the map, to take advantage of dynamic lighting, or whatever, and it will serve as the viewpoint of the players.

Here's a wiki article that may help: Using Roll20 while Playing In-Person
There was an attempt at an 'Roll20 in person Megathread' a few months ago. It's closed now, but you could look through it for ideas, or start a new one if you're interested. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9217077/roll20-for-in-person-sessions-mega-thread-hopefully/
