Deleted tokens from my library but the characters stayed on my maps. Can't select them.

I decided to re-make a bunch of my tokens, including my PC's. I deleted the tokens I was going to replace, and then added in new versions. I deleted the old tokens from my library - not from my maps. I went around and reassigned all my tokens to characters and characters to tokens. Then I went to my map that my players are currently on, and all their lights and night-vision (I use a tint) are still there. I cannot move or remove them. I cannot select them. When my players are in the game, they can see from those locations, but they cannot see their token or move it or select it. If I add in another instance of their character by dragging from my journal, they have control of the new one, but they can still see through the other one. 

First troubleshooting idea: have you tried selecting the tokens on all the different page layers? I'd also try copying the page and see if you have the issue on the copied page. 

Also, try clearing cache.

Jarren: I did try selecting everything on all layers. I deleted everything on all layers, in fact, but the nightvision tinting and light effects remained. A copy of the page has the same issue.  Keith: how do I clear cache?

Clearing your cache is done in your browser (Chrome/Firefox/etc) in the settings with cookies and things.  But it sounds like your game may have a minor file corruption or something, so you’ll likely need to reach out to the Roll20 help desk.
