Old-School style D&D Next One-Shot!

Designed a dungeon for today, and then the game fell through. So if there are any bored types around who want to try Next before it turns into 5e, or just kill some time, let me know! I was thinking of a Level 5 party that has a simple problem and only one real way forward. The part that makes it "old-school style" is that passive perception won't find traps for you if you're splitting your focus too much, going too fast, or just looking the other way. Enemies won't be perfectly balanced to your level (nor will they be unbeatable, before you say something like that to me), and you might even come across situations you're just not meant to bash your way through. And if you ever roll a check before explaining what it's for, the world might not take too kindly to that. (Most likely in the form of some mild, temporary, yet inconvenient penalty.) If you'd like to take a walk on the esoteric side, and match your ingenuity against the strange way my mind operates, fantastic! If you'd like to hit stuff with other stuff, and possibly blow some stuff up, there'll be room for that as well!
Hi there, I'm in for an old-school game. What classes does the party need still?
You're the first. Everyone else will probably base on you.
Well then I'd love to play a monk
When are we looking to play?
Hour maybe? 10pm my time, 11 eastern?
I'd really like to play a Fighter -- when were you looking to play? Btw, I've no experience with Next.
Answer is above you. I was answering the same time you were asking!
I'd be down to play at that time! :D
Cool, this is the official discussion for a while. There's something i've got to take care of before i can start making campaigns and such.
How big of a party are you looking for?
Will you allow exporting of premade characters to your campaign?
For Next, you don't "need" more than maybe 3. But i kinda like larger parties, and they don't start getting unmanageable until 7. Anywhere in between those numbers, and i'll be fine with it.
I'm not wild about the idea, but as long as you're not trying to bring in "magic-item bill gates from your overpowered one-shot" it should be fine.
My 5th level monk doesn't have any items except clothes and an adventurer's kit, is that okay?

Nevermind, posted something goofy. :D
This still going on in like half an hour?
That's the idea.
I'm in the campaign right now -- I'll be back in just a few minutes.
