[LFP] - [FREE] - [symbaroum] Looking for one (maybe two) more player in a dark fantasy setting

Currently have 3 PC's and I am in need of more players for my medieval dark fantasy game set in the system & setting of symbaroum. Symbaroum is a game set in a dark and bleak world that has just recently been ravaged by war with evil dark lords. The kingdom of Ambria won the war but at great cost. The corrupting magics of the lords has forever made the land barren, unable to support any form of life. In desperation, the peoples of the kingdom migrated north past the snow covered mountains. Many did not survive the journey but those that did found new fertile land to settle and rebuild what was lost. The PC's will be active 20 years after the establishment of the new kingdom in the city-state of Thistle Hold. Think of Thistle Hold as a gold rush town except replace gold with artifacts from a long dead civilisation that may or may not drive you insane. *Quick warning that this system can be very deadly if you aren't careful, so backup characters may be necessary. The game is every Sunday at 12:00pm PST and we play about 2-3 hours. We are using Discord and will DM a link to you once your place in the game is established. Those that are interested please give a quick rundown of your tabletop experience and what you expect as a player. Also, if you already have an idea of what kind of character you want to play then please add that as well. If you have any questions, dont be afraid to ask. For books on the setting and system, google "the trove symbaroum". Note: This is not a "hop-in hop-out" type game. Making an application for this game means that you are willing and able to make time for it. Having to introduce someone to the group only for them not show up without explanation for half the sessions is a pain to deal with. So please make sure you can keep a consistent schedule.
Hello, my name is Andy. I am interested in joining a game, whatever it may be but I have relatively little tabletop experience. By that I mean I haven't played D&D (and I realize this is a game called Symbaroum) since high school which was quite some time ago. I am open to learning and I think I can catch on quickly. If you think you can hang with a new player, I'd like to join your game. I am available Sundays at 12PST which I believe is 2CST. Anyway, just thought I'd try. Thanks.

Hi! Is a half-orc be an acceptable character? Player: Jeremy - Discord G-Wiz#9939 Experience: I’ve played over 5,000 hours in the ‘90s. I’m new to Discord.  Looking for: A DM that allows about a 50/50 mix of roll play and combat.  No recent campaigns.  Character & Traits: Name: Zero Level: 3 Gender: Male Race: Half-Orc Class: Rogue/Thief Alignment: Chaotic Evil Background:  Although I’ve been a criminal/spy as far back as I can remember, I am loyal to my friends.  I grew up poor, and I scavenged food from almost anywhere. Dealing in stolen goods has made me comfortable.  I’ll fight dirty, taking advantage any way I can to win. With a savage attack I can do extra damage to my foes.  With dark vision, intimidation and cunning, I can persuade many to do my bidding.

Hello, I'm Andrew, my RPG experience is on the heavy side, I believe with 15 years under the belt, spent mostly on GMing, but also playing occasionally in all kinds of systems (WFRP ed. 1, 2, 4), Call of Cthulhu (ed. 5.6, 6.0, 7.0), D&D (ed. 3, 3.5, 5), some World of Darkness, WH40K: Deathwatch, Legend of the 5 Rings and other, less well known. Recently I've drifted towards PbtA/Dungeon World type of mechanics paired with the Witcher's universe and have started to lean a bit more heavily on the players, when it comes to the story side of the game (proposed scenes and story's threads etc.). I've recently bought Symbaroum, devoured it (albeit restricted myself to the player's part of it consciously) and am itching to give it a try, as the setting seems very well constructed and gorgeously detailed without feeling too full-there's always something new in the forest, but there's quite a few places that all players can get to know pretty well from just the core book even. I would most like to try out a Wizard (tilting towards a classic pyromancer rather than a mentalist) in a party, as I tend to be a little on the smartass end of the spectrum and like to have some deeper lore knowledge, plus magic seems quite interesting in this setting. I most value a friendly co-operation aimed at achieving goals and going through interesting events. I can sure do some RPing too, but would like more for the group to work together against the hurdles of the environment rather than be oriented at the in-character interactions between the players LARP-style. The tricky part is that I am residing in CET, which translates to PST+9. I can and am willing to play for 4-5 hours (more than what is advertised, but that just gives us ana ample margin) starting at the specified day and time. Would love to hear from You, as Symbaroum has got me interested like no system in a rather long time.
There are no more space left for the game as of right now but should space become available I will update this add
