LFP 3.5e World's Largest Dungeon 1-20 CAMPAIGN MDT 7-12 M-R

GM looking for adventurers to brave the halls of the WORLDS' LARGEST DUNGEON! "THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE HAS FINALLY ARRIVED... Over 1,600 Encounters -- A mammoth dungeon unlike any other! Every monster in the SRD -- And a few you've never seen before! - ... - Enough for an entire party to grow from levels 1 to 20,..." - Jim Pinto I am currently seeking 4-6 experienced players (3 yrs +). Because this epic adventure will take place over multiple sessions that may go on over months of game sessions, I am looking for dedicated players as well. Balance within a party comes down to players taking certain roles within the party; I see these roles as follows: Tactician, Magic User, Defender, and Healer. Do you have what it takes? We will begin at 1st level. Standard point-buy (32) hero creation. Players have access to the Player's Handbook (Core Rulebook I) and the Player's Handbook II for character creation. It is encouraged that you give yourself personality traits. It is assumed that the adventurer's will start out in game looking for the World's Largest Dungeon, which is rumored to be near the [starting area]. I would like to know more about you players, and have them know more about the people they expect to play with, so reply with a few details about yourself and your experience with D&D. Be sure to include: Your name, how you learned about D&D, a brief description of your most recent/favorite character (why was s/he so interesting?), which role you see yourself best fulfilling, and your availability for weekly sessions. PLEASE NOTE: Sessions will take place during the week (Monday-Thursday) in the evening! I have been playing D&D for 10 or so years, starting with AD&D and on through NEXT. I have experience with other systems and settings, and I really like to enrich the player in the experience, whether as GM or as a player. I am familiar with most concepts pertaining to the game, but I also welcome judgment, should I make a mistake. I like honest, fair players. My favorite class is a wizard, because they can do anything. I look forward to reviewing your applications. The first session will be this Wednesday night. (2 July 2014) -GM
Only PHB and PHBII? No other material/base classes?
Yeah, Core Only is a wee bit harsh.
What system is this going to be using?
sounds like 3.5

I'm going to assume you will at least let us use all of the Core SRD including class variants and racial variants. Personally, I would be thrilled if you would open up some more books so we had a bit more freedom on our class and race choices. That being said, here is a bit about me. I am a 22 year old graduate student who has been playing DnD for a little over a year now. I have DMed several campaigns. I tend to be the groups rule lawyer since I pretty much know everything there is about the game, including even the most obscure material from source books (I'm in lawschool so it comes with the territory :P). I generally prefer more RP heavy games, though I am interested in the challenge of a long dungeon that's hard to get through. I am pretty much available every day during the week since it is summer and I have little obligations right now. I am known for being a bit of an optimizer, but traditionally, I do so with a particular theme in mind and if I can't justify the character having something, I usually ignore it. For favorite classes, I would have to say that Factotum is my all time favorite since I love jack of all trades type classes. From there, I am particularly fond of the Psion, Erudite, Artificer, Bard, and Incarnate. I generally stick to more of your squishy caster role, or your skill monkey, jack of all trades, with magic sprinkled on. That being said, I still will play any role for the most part so long as I can do so with a base class I prefer. Being stuck with PHB1 & PHB2, I would probably play Wizard or Beguiler.
Players, Allow me to clarify: Within the PHB 2, there are options that are explained and noted on other pages of other books. Those books are available as well. -GM
Are flaws allowed?
Sounds very interesting! About myself: I have been playing 3.5 for 6 years now, DMing for 4. I enjoy many classes, but for this one would love to finally take a stab at the Beguiler class from PHB II. Good way of acting as the rogue type while still having a nice spell versatility. I am very into the RP aspect of the game but also love well thought out combats just as much, if not more. A good combat that forces players to think, talk to eachother and work things out is always a good time, even if it's hard! Classes I would be interested in playing (In order of interest): Beguiler, Druid (Shapeshift variant), Druid (Spontaneous Rejuvenation variant), Wizard, Warmage, Hexblade, Cleric, Paladin. I like to create a class with the party, as to know we have our needed roles filled. I learned of DnD as a kid, but did not play until about 6 years ago when I made some friends who played it, and taught me the ropes. I then plunged into the books, learning al I could, playing as much asI could to gain experience and eventually became a DM. I have homebrewed 4 different worlds, spanning 10 different campaigns. I have two favorite characters. 1, being the first I ever made, a Kobold druid, Ziltoid the Omniscient, who loved to shapeshift into reptiles so he could be closer to his Monitor Lizard companion, Captain Spectacular. My other favorite is my Gnome Illusionist Wizard, Soulkrist Ruther. I have a thing for playing small sized characters, as in WoW I was a Gnome Wizard for 8 years before I left the game. It also may stem from being short myself. I am 24, nearing 25. I have a B.S. in Applied Physics from California State University, San Marcos and am currently getting my certification to be a middle school/high school teacher for math and physics. My best day to play is Thursday, but can always attempt to move my schedule around if it is really needed. Hope to make the cut! Look forward to hearing back from you and goodluck with the campaign!
Hon. Hazard; My name is Brad. I began playing D&D in my elementary School and frequently rode the late bus home after gaming sessions through high school. My most recent character was a fellow by the name of Spellvis. I loved playing this Bard/Wizard/Sorcer/Druid/Fighter etc.... The character was an exercise in multiclass madness for fun and profit. Mah Roadie Toadies and I led a swashbuckling Guitar hero through every tavern, hall, and court in the land. Mah career really took off when I added a permanent rock band in the form of expert aristocratic followers from the Leadership feat. You can take a look at him here. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=... I will happily perform the role of melee band aid box in a manner that will leave you laughing when you see it. Mah Druidic Caballero goes by the name of Neigh Chevaloshad. Druids can worship nature Gods, be dedicated to impressive natural wonders like the Grand Canyon, or be devotees of Animal archtypes. In this case, Neigh is all two fisted cowboy with a fondness for horses. A natural horse whisperer, he's learned a lot from his magical horse Diane. I'm recovering from some diabetic complications that required major surgery. This has put me on disability for the next couple years while I rehabilitate. To say that I will be free during the week to socialize in a game like this is putting it mildly. I am content, courteous, and looking for just such an opportunity as you have offered. Respectfully Brad
Your name, how you learned about D&D, a brief description of your most recent/favorite character (why was s/he so interesting?), which role you see yourself best fulfilling, and your availability for weekly sessions. Name: Randy I learned about D&D through two of my cousins. I would go to their house when I was little, and they would always be in a dark, smokey room rolling dice. I never really understood what they were doing, so I just flipped through the Monster Manuel's and looked at pictures. Flash Forward about 15 years, and I discovered what captivated my older cousins so much. My favorite character that I have played thus far was my Dwarven Wizard named Baerem, because he was a very unusual Dwarf. Baerem had a desire, no a need, to stay clean. He carried around with him soap and water used only for bathing, which he stopped and did so often. He also was a vegetarian. While the other Dwarves would be drinking in the Tavern, Baerem would try to discover new books and learn, though he had a hard time due to his parrot familiar, Charles, who he would often get in heated debates with. I am rather open to any role, as I can tailor a character for about anything . Times: Monday or Wedsnday I am free.
