Switching DM's

I hope this is the right area. We are trying to set up a round-robin DM game. The problem I have discovered from previous games where I wasn't the originator/owner of the campaign, is that I cannot access my special features i.e. pulling (Transmogrifier) maps from my other campaigns I've created or access dynamic lighting features. I have already discovered that I couldn't do it from the role as a guest DM. But what about if the owner gives up his DM status? Can he/she actually do that in the first place? Or can only the Guest DM's be downgraded? I read the part of sharing stuff (i.e. maps and files), but was wondering if this way would work. Or would we each have to create our own campaign (have the same face) and then only invite those players and then the creator has access to their special features?

The campaign owner can never be demoted from GM status, and there are certain features only available to the owner.

Sure would be nice to have the option sometimes though. Even if it was just transferring a copy of a campaign to someone else. Would be nice to have the option to demote yourself sometimes too. Maybe just a "join as player" button on the outside.
There is a rejoin as player button, if you are in the campaign from settings (cog tab) scroll right down there is a button there.
