Performance Problems as Player after Buying a New Laptop

I did buy a New Laptop which is much more Powerfull than my 10 Year old System before It is a HP Omen 15 with: I7 10th Gen RTX2080 I use Chrome Since i use my New Laptop Loading of Maps, Pictures of NPC and in general it takes a lot of Time to Load something... For Example if the GM shows a Token Zoomes, it takes significantly longer for me to Load it(It loads in Parts imagine it like a Scan from top to bottom) than any other Player in the Game. And the moment i use my Old Laptop the Loading Time is better as on my new One. Something here is defenitly wrong.... How do i improve the Perfomance? Sems like a Setting Problem of my System.... as if it doesnt use much of its Power or smth like that..... (Sorry for my bad English btw, its not my First Language)

Does your laptop have a higher pixel density than your old system? (HD monitor equivalent)? It could be loading 4 times the amount of data. It could also be that your old system had a lot of cached images, and the problem will lessen as time goes on. Does your new system have other software installed that might be affecting performance: VPN, different anti-virus, etc.?
Its 1920*1080 therefore the same Resolution as my Old System. And i Played this Campaign with the New Laptop now for 1 Month, before aswell for just 1 Month, so its the same Time, but it didnt get better over this Time. Also even if the GM shows us a New Image my Old system loads that Up in a Second or Two, while the New one needs tenth´s of it. Same goes for New Maps, they are all extremly low Res and load for a few Minutes on the New System before they become High Resolution or the Resolution which they are integrated in our Campaign. Testes this aswell with ma Old System, and there loading of New Maps, even bigger once works fine. Needs a few Seconds but nothing to long but Waiting a Minute or 2 before i can see the Image of an NPC or Monster or several Minutes for a Map is just not playable, it destroys the fun and immersion. Also this Problem is true for all the Rooms and Campaigns i am currently in, no matter if its a New or Old one. I assume for some Reason Roll20 doesnt usw much of my GPU and CPU to actually do things, but i dont know how to change it, since the only Problem i have on that matter is Roll20. I dont know if there is any Kind of Setting for my System, Roll20 or Chrome itself which might interfere but i am Pretty sure it has nothing to do in anyway with the Campaign itself. I doent know it uses the same Anti-Virus as my Old System, no VPN.... It has the Omen Gaming Hub pre Installed, which is basicly used to set the Vent into Boost for stronger Airflow but thats it xD

It's possible that Bloatware or weird settings from HP could be a problem. It's more likely to be a browser or bandwidth issue than GPU/CPU (although Updated Dynamic Lighting does seem to depend on those more), or something else interfering with the data coming through, like VPN or AV as Keith suggested. You could try Firefox - it's unlikely to make a difference but it's an easy test. There could be some bad network settings somewhere, but that would probably affect more than just Roll20. I don't really know much about HTML Canvas, but you could try something like this simple Canvas test and see if there's any delay? I guess the other possibility is a problem with the Amazon file servers. Does opening this 5e image take a long time? I usually do a format & clean OS install as soon as I get a laptop. The last time I dealt with HP, they had their own modified drivers running for most of the hardware, which caused countless issues until I did a clean install with manufacturer's versions. I'm not sure if they still do the same thing or not. That might be more effort than you're willing to go to, but it's best done early, before you fill your computer with data (and laptops are generally set up to dump everything on the same partition, which is not great if you get a serious issue and want to wipe the partition).

The Image aswell as this Canvas Test are basicly Instant Ready. The Image does Load in the Same way as they do in Roll20, from Top to Bottom but that takes less than a Second. I will try the Firefox Thing next. But so far i have no Idea what could cause this Problem, i am not the createst with Computer Technology and Software and how it works either ^^ So its hard to Answer some Things properly. Firefox also loads like from Top to Bottom and that in a way which is Visually and Time wise noticeable, but it takes just around 10-15 Sec for a Big Map and 2-3 Sec for an Handout Image,Journal Entry and so on...... Which i am absolut Fine with if we take into Consideration its a big Campaign and such. So it seems to be a Chrome Problem i guess?
Okay after further Testting with my GM On Both Browser Chrome and Firefox the loading Time of Images is absolutly Randome..... Some Take 3 Sec while 1MB big others take 50sec+ even though they are only 300kb. We looked at the F12 Network Feature how much time they needed and its always the "Conten Download" which is absolutly Random as if something would Interfere because we also made sure that my Internet Conection works properly, testet on other sides, loaded Images instantly, Speedtest and so on.... So something is interfering with Roll20 in Combination of the Browser but i cant explain my self what.
It's likely not about your PC, there seems to be a Roll20 performance issue ongoing since yesterday: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9692552/roll20-performance-issues
i did not have this Problem since yesterday but since exactly the 7.12.2020 in which i startet using my new Laptop, also i already said that i didnt had and have this problem with my old one. But thanks for the Information about it.
Hm so nobody can Help? Seems i have to wait for the Support Ticket then, which will take months.....sadly
