Applications are now closed. Thank you to all who have shown
interest in participating, I have enough applicants to run this nearly 4
time over. I will be going through all applications over the next day
or so and choosing the participating members. I am a relatively new DM, I've been DMing for around 3 months now,
and I want to give the oppertunity to some people the oppertunity to
play some D&D. I know there are plenty of players out there looking
to have their first taste of D&D, and I'd like to give it them. If
you are interested in participating check down below for more details.
Session Time - Fridays @ 6pm [EST]/11pm [GMT] and will run for 3-4 hours at a time.
Adventure: Lost Mine of Phandelver (Levels 1-5) [4-5 players]
Requirements
Discord Account - We will be hosting the voice chat
through discord during sessions and will use the chat feature to
organise things ahead of time. Roll20 Account - We will be using Roll20 as a VTT. Working Headset & Mic Keeping you character sheet up to date - You are
welcome to use DnDBeyond as a character sheet, but if for some reason
you don't want to do this then you will be required to complete and
update your character sheet up to date on Roll20 . (I will help you if needed.) Turning up on Time to Sessions - A
minute or two is understandable, but if your seriously late/don't turn
up to a session without any sort of communication ahead of time, or
failing to provide a good reason for your absence after the fact I
consider disrespectful both to me and the other players who took time
out their week to show up. Behaviour like this will not be tolerated!
Optional
DnDBeyond - I will share my unlocked content with you so you have more options during character creation. Beyond20 (Browser Extention) - If you plan on using
DnDBeyond for your character sheet, consider downloading this extension
so you can make rolls directly to the Roll20 VTT from your character
sheet. It's simply plug and play, no messy set up process, best of all
it's free!
What you can expect from me
I will deliver the best possible experience that I can to new players
who want to try out D&D for the first time! I aim to provide you a
fun first time experience with potential oppertunities for future
campaigns/adventures down the road. I am not a professional DM with
years of experience, but I think I do an okay job with my other players
in my homebrew campaign. I will help you understand rules and mechanics
of the game to the best of my ability, you simply need to ask.
Session 0
We will have a session 0 before we start the campaign so I can
explain the few homebrew rules I will be implementing (They are minor
tweaks to the Rules as Written, they will not be difficult to learn).
During this session we will also make sure everyone has a completed
character ready for the adventure, so don't fret about having one
prepared, although if you are like me when I was looking to get into my
first game you might have a few already made up.
