Campaign Journal

Well, that went well.  Actually it did. I love it when a plan comes together.  The group's previous encounter with the dragon gave them enough information about his tactics and environment to help us prepare with spells and potions.  We stealthily teleported in and surrounded the dragon sleeping on his pile of treasure.  The spellcasters spaced out to avoid his breath weapon and Sedriss and Thornduk (and Eddie) closed in to attack.  Even with all our planning it was still a close battle.  He had a second breath attack that nobody predicted and he moved too often for my moonbeam to be effective.  I'm coming to appreciate direct damage spells like blight. We defeated Nightscale and found the last crystal as well as some treasure.  Now we have to decide where to go next.
Well... We finally did it. We killed that damn Dragon. Nightscale is gone. And with his death, the final gate key is ours, we should prepare ourselves for the next attack on the doom vault now. Only through destroying the falactory vault do we stand a chance at ending the threat to this world. I would say we need a little time to rest, but then we move. With all the firepower we can muster. Anyway that is my plan. I will have to see what the others think.
