I'm a 2nd edition player and DM as well, and I started a group on here for 2E players to make a community, link up, share resources, and it's a place to meet others and perhaps find a game pitch. The group campaign for 2E enthusiasts is called ROLL2E Tavern, and the link is here if you want to ask to join . When there is an opening for a Player in any of the 2nd edition games I'm in, we often recruit new PC's out of the Tavern group. Several other DM's have offered spots as well, in their game pitch threads on there. Finally also, there is a sticky thread in the group's forum, talking about different ways to find 2E games to play on Roll20. Hope this helps!
