Hey there folks! As the title says, I'm looking for 2-3 players to round out group that'll play without a DM, using the Mythic GM Emulator. Here's a pretty solid example of someone using Mythic to play in a game, albeit solo and playing Savage Worlds instead of D&D - its still a good example of the system. There will likely be a test game or two to get people used to the system. Some more specifics of the game - I definitely intend to take a leading role for assembling the group, but hopefully more of a referee than an actual gm until folks are all comfortable with the system and how its run. Wednesday evenings is the chosen time as it works with my schedule, specifically anywhere from 7/8 pm to 2 or so am EST, but there is some flexibility in those times based on other people's schedules. This will be a voice game over discord and most likely roll20 as a VTT. It will be decided whether it'll be a completely homebrew world or we try to go through a published adventure without a gm. Probably after a testing period. Whatever the case, character backgrounds will probably take a front seat in driving the story forward so if you like character/player driven games then this is definitely the game for you. Some wants from people joining DM experience is preferred but not necessary. The ability to interpret results based on die rolls quickly is also a great skill to have, but also because there may be times where whoever's in charge of a scene may shift to keep one person from running and entire game and let everyone equally have some playtime. Experience in general in necessary. You don't have to know every rule, but I'd prefer you not being completely fresh to the game as there's gonna be a new set of rules from the GM emulator to keep track of, and having to juggle them while not being knowledgeable of the rules of 5e will just bog the game down. 18+ is necessary, though not for any indication of content. Some experience in forum/text roleplaying would be great. Also not necessary, but for those who've roleplayed extensively on forums or between friends in a way that wasn't tied to an rpg system might understand the vibe of a 'gmless' game better. Expect a good bit of homebrew. So, if after reading all of that you find yourself interested then feel free to send me a message including these things: A name you'd like to go by. Preferred pronouns if you have any. A piece of media you've enjoyed recently.
