Old player of 2nd edition, just getting back into it since discovering roll20 and D&D Beyond.

I played a lot of D&D 2nd edition back in the day. Then life happened and I was not able to find a regular group that fit in with my work. I played various video games instead and read a lot of LITRPG books. I just recently found roll20 and D&D Beyond online and am excited to get back into it. I am Central Standard time zone and pretty wide open as to available time (recently retired). I prefer to be a player, and am open to playing most any class or race. I would even consider some of the other games I have heard about, just looking for something fun to play and a good group to play with. Allen Averill Sportinggoodsman. Online tag, Sport for short.

Sure, Allen. Apply here (send message thru this LFG link), anyone who wants to play, https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/257907/2e-dark-sun-w-l-d-star-1-dot-000-dot-000-star-pug-ch-gold Dark Sun setting it's a dry desert world that went through apocolypse. The rules are AD&D 2nd Edition with major changes such as completely different species to play. Wizards are now either Preservers or Defilers. There are new classes like Gladiator, Psionicist, Templars, and Traders. You make a "Character Tree" this is 2 to 4 characters. This way you have your choice which to play, and besides, if they die you have a backup ready. It's PICK UP GAMES because we have 5 dungeon masters in the group, and the DM's offer varying game times, one-shots, adventures. When you have your Character Tree rolled up, you're able to apply/join the games at any times that's offered and fits your schedule. It is kinda complex, very involved with the setting/world, which has had some Novels written, Dark Sun series. I have not read them myself, still able to play it. Not a quick-starting game, definitely is a game to read some special rules & make a unique character, write your PC's background, find your homeland on the map, upload a proper Portrait of your character's appearance, all before your first game with combat and roleplay. The good news is, there are a lot of cool players in the group who will help with AD&D 2nd edition, Dark Sun, and Roll20. DM Gold Sportinggoodsman said: Hello, Thanks for the response. Tell me more about Dark Sun pickup games. That seems interesting.
