"Something is wrong with the world. Not the usual kind of
something, nor an unusual kind of something. Something greater, at a
more intrinsic level. The balance has shifted. The darkness that spread
over the land had been slowly overcome with light, but its source has
been taken away. We live in a land of no heroes, only villains who believe that they are the light in the darkness of today." -Oremid Hass -Archmage of Cultivation Two
armies clash on a fog-shrouded battlefield, heralded by the sound of
trumpets and drums on one side, and by an eerie, chirping whistle like
countless thousands of wailing crickets on the other. A raven, its ebon
feathers spattered with blood, alights on one of the fallen corpses and
gently raps its beak on the soldier's helmet. The raven looks up,
curious, and flies into the sky. A land embroiled in war expands beneath
it, and yet, within the shroud of conflict, the raven sees twinkling
pockets of light. The raven sees souls that shine bright with
courage, kindness, and determination. It sees souls lustrous with greed,
fear, and anger. And most of all, it sees souls radiating with a desire
to discover their place in the world. The raven sees Wildemount. Come
along for adventure on the continent of Wildemount made famous and
created by Matt Mercer, Dungeon Master of the hugely popular Critical
Role show. The Campaign will be a purely sandbox one and we'll
explore the themes that we wish to play around with and try to tailor
our game to be fun for everyone. There will be an overarching story that
will have consequences if ignored completely but by and large, you can
go anywhere, do anything, and fate shall still find you. This will be a
heavily character-driven campaign, with a lot of roleplaying and heavy
backstory incorporation into the main storyline, so do be sure to make a
backstory with personal goals and ties to the world. Each one of you
will sit down with me for a personal session set after our session 0 and
we'll tailor-make your character with meticulous care and setup a
wonderful game in Exandria. Wildemount awaits! Details: -Flanking
will only be allowed if another player is base to base with a monster
and uses their reaction to give you an advantage for the round. -At
the start of the game, after rolling your stats using 4d6 and dropping
the lowest score, you can distribute them as you see fit and if you wish
to, reduce one of the stats by 2(into a negative) to increase another
by 2 up to 20. You cannot go beyond 20. You can only do this once. -We shall be starting at level 2 -Homebrew is allowed as long as I can look at what you wish to play beforehand -The
characters must have a common theme or something that binds them
together pre-determined, I wish not to see the players sit and be
awkward around a tavern table. What to expect in a game I run A long term game that runs consistently every week for a long time. Rewarding of unique solutions and deviations from the story based on your actions. Your actions actually changing the world around you. Going entirely homebrew if needed. Rule of Cool being honored. A serious enviroment for roleplaying and yet having fun as much as we can. A memorable time that you will hopefully enjoy. Lots of Roleplay. What I provide in my games: I use animated battlemaps when the chance arises I have Syrinscape and Music that I load into Roll20 individually with a curated playlist depending on the game you're playing I'm always available, at any given time I import any and everything that you may need I will homebrew classes, races or subclasses with you to make sure you enjoy the game I always have Dynamic Lighting based battlemaps for any combat that you might go through I consider myself a decent storyteller and also decent at improvisation I own all the modules available on Roll20 and have put alot of my own money into them I will make token macros for anything that your character can do to make things easier. You can contact me on Discord at OriginalUsername#4148 if you're interested. The
game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of 60$ per
month(4 sessions) for every player. Roll20 is not responsible for any
payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
