The One Ring

Gauging interest in a long term campaign of Cubicle 7’s The One Ring. I’m in EST and would like to meet every other weekend, Saturday or Sunday, late morning or early afternoon, for 3 hours. I’m looking for players who know the game, or players new to the game with a love of Tolkien and a desire to learn TOR.

Love Tolkien. I would seriously be willing to learn the system and play on Saturdays. I'm in PST. 

Wow! That was quick... So happy to hear from you! Thanks.  I wasn’t sure how much interest there’d be in a TOR game here, but I am encouraged by your reply. Thanks again.  I’ve run the game in-person a few times, and online a couple of times. I’m posting here because I want to find like-minded players who know the game, or love Tolkien and want to learn the game, and can commit to a long running campaign.  I’d like to start with The Marsh Bell, and eventually lead into The Darkening of Mirkwood, with side-quests from Tales from Wilderland. I hope that sounds agreeable.

Yea! I'm down for what ever you want to run. I have been waiting a long time for someone to come along wanting to run TOR. I'll definitely wait as long as it takes to get other players too. Thanks for considering me! Please keep me in the loop and up-to-date. I really want to play this with a good group of people who also love Tolkien.

I'd be totally cool with a small group, even just another player. I really wanna play in the Tolkien universe. You can lock me in as a dedicated player.

It's not perfect, but then, what game is.) But if you're into Tolkien, this game is the best adaptation of the source material (in my opinion); not just expansive coverage of Middle Earth with an RPG resolution mechanic attached, but a game system that uses the language of Tolkien to flavor it's rules. Thanks for expressing an interest. It seems we're up to 3 players now. The Fellowship grows...

Sounds cool, hope I can get into it with everything.

As for the days you posted Saturdays work the best for me personally but I could make Sunday mornings if that were the case.

Now that we seem to have three interested players, we should discuss day and time. First, I want to make sure everyone knows that this is not a one-shot, but a campaign that I'd like to give a serious go at. Second, I prefer weekends, Saturday or Sunday, and late morning or early afternoon. I can start as early as 10 am EST. Let me know how that fares for you all...

Alright... Looks like we’ll have a Saturday game.  So, if I host a game at 3 pm EST, that would be 2 pm CST and 12 pm PST. Does that work? Not sure what ScottDestro’s time zone is...
