Players unable to see token names

I'm not sure when we first noticed this issue, but players in my games - D&D 5E, if that's relevant - have been unable to see NPC token names in-game. If I had to pinpoint the issue, I'd say it started within the last two or so months. To create most NPCs - random characters hanging around in town, plot-important NPCs, enemies that the group will be fighting, you name it - I create them as a blank character without any stats, then add in a few macros to the Abilities tab so that if any fighting goes on I can just click a macro rather than having to remember all of their rolls and what they do. It's great for creating groups of enemies since I only need to create the character once, then I just create a few different tokens representing that character and give them all names. Like the title says though, players haven't been able to see token names for a little while now, which not only makes it awkward in combat for distinguish who's getting attacked, but also slows down roleplay a bit as I have to spell out names or remind everyone what someone's name is. Is this a known bug, or a case of me mucking up settings? Players can see each others' token names so I'm wondering whether it's something to do with them not having access to the character sheets for the NPCs (for obvious reasons). I've remembered to check the Nameplate box, too.

In the token settings, you do have the nameplate enabled.  That will allow you (GM) to see the nameplate.  If you hover over the 3 dots between the General and Token Bars headers, that will reveal the check box for allowing the players to see the nameplate.
Completely missed that that was an option - checking now I can see a lot of my tokens have Edit but not See checked, which I assume is responsible for the problem. Thank you!

Not your fault at all. This design problem in the token settings dialog has been mentioned many times since the overhaul three months ago.
