First and foremost: Yes I am well aware Roll20 is not a site ONLY for D&D and it houses a great many of other games. BUT judging by the looking for games area of the site the D&D following is probably the largest. I think it could only benefit both parties if Roll20 were to approach Beyond for some sort of partnerships to where a Beyond sheet could be ran in tandem with a Roll20 game, yes I am aware that there is some sort of script out there that does that but I'm thinking of something a bit more official and user friendly. Pros: -Access to books from Beyond so you have access to books from both sites not just one -The ability to have access to a (in my personal opinion) a far better character creation and management page that works with Roll20 -A potential increase in players/DM's on Roll20 depending on how exactly this partnership would be done Cons: -Possible loss in book revenue as buying class supplement books on Beyond is honestly better than on Roll20 due to Beyond having better organization in their compendiums, ALTHOUGH I think the sales in monster books would spike as the value for getting a helluva lot of premade tokens is very good. -It may be difficult to get Beyond to agree, i'm no PR expert but usually Partnerships aren't too easy to set up To address the con of potential loss of book revenue, perhaps making this a feature in games that are created by a PRO MEMBER ONLY would be a good way to not only increase Pro members as it'd add onto the existing benefits but minimize the loss. OR am I just a idiot who has no idea what he's talking about, what do you all think? Yay or nay?
