roll20 not saving sheet updates

I and others have noticed that when changing something on the sheet, mainly the token for some reason nothing gets saved as a player changing it and saving. When you drag and drop it puts the old token on the map and never the new one even though we hit save. In one game it made my token invisible and not even the dm knew why then after we all refreshed it appeared but was very slow in doing so, possible lag but it was only my token doing it.

When you change a token on the table top, if you want the default token to have those changes the next time you pull it out, you must set it as the default token again.  You can do that by shift double clicking the token to open the character, remove the default token, then click the button to set the selected as a default token. Since you're a Pro subscriber, you could also use the TokenMod API script to set all the selected token's character's default tokens in one go with this: !token-mod --set defaulttoken That will work for players also, which is nice.
well for one it is not my game that this is happening in it is other games I play in so token mod will not work. Also I do remove the current token and upload the new one and hit save but I guess since I am not the DM it defaults to the current one instead so guess the Dm will have to update it for me.

Players don't have access to the Default Token, except through API scripts.  If you're changing the Avatar image, that only shows up in the Character Bio tab, next to the Journal entry in the Journal tab, and in the chat/player avatar when Speaking as that Character. If a character doesn't have a Default Token, the Avatar image is used to create one when dragging out the Character, but it only represents the Character and doesn't set any of the bars and such.  Setting the Default Token is the only way to have a Token that is configured appropriately the next time you drag out, which requires the GM.
