Extremely Slow Dice Rolls

Hi, using both Chrome and Firefox (with no 3rd Party Roll20 addons), when rolling a dice (whether via a Macro, Token Action, Character Sheet or just the /r command), it takes just over a minute to display the roll result. I cannot DM a game with it like this, any suggestions? Jonathan
I can confirm this is affecting Chrome, Edge (new), and Firefox. But not Vivaldi.

It's possible it's a protocol or security issue, but I have no idea why Vivaldi would be any different. Does Roll20 generally work fine in Vivaldi? I've never used it.

What is your ISP? If you are using vivaldi with a VPN, and the other browsers without VPN, the culprit most probably is the internet route to the dice roller.
Roll20 works fine in Vivaldi, and I am not using a VPN. Using Sky (UK), with 70Mb down and 20Mb up speed.
Possibly totally unrelated, but there was some issues which were solved by disabling the "auto-completion" option in your browser. Maybe this is why Vivaldi is unaffected?
Auto-fill is already disabled in Chrome. It's not that. :(

IME, it's just the auto-fill features in FF, not Chrome. Also, Lastpass or similar extensions can cause MAJOR slow downs with roll20 sheets. Seemingly related to the inputs detected. Make sure nothing like that is running. You also might check on toggling on/off hardware acceleration.

I think Vince saying 'toggle hardware accelleration' is the best step to check, that's been mentioned so far. The auto-fill bug causes slow-downs with Character Sheets opening & displaying. I suppose that might cause slow-downs of making Sheet Rolls. I haven't heard of the auto-fill bug causing general slowdowns of 3D dice such as /roll 3d20 outside of sheet-button-rolls.

It's not hardware acceleration, I just turned it off and it had no difference.
If you are familiair with the browser developer console you can take the investigation a step further (F12 in chrome en firefox). Play with the console open on the network tab. When you experience a delay, check the requests to https://dice.roll20.net/doroll . For each roll there should be 2 requests. Clock on a request and check the timings: No timings? The issue might be in the browser. Very long timings (>10 seconds)? Share a screenshot for analysis. It might be DNS, it might be cloufflare, it might be your ISP or interconnect, it might be the roll20 servers. Who knows? Rol220 is a internet cloud service and internet is very complex. For example tonight a player was complaining that rolls where very slow. Strange thing was that it took 20 seconds for him to see the result, whereas I got a straight beep (with result) and heard 5 more beeps within 5 seconds.

Same problem for me here in Italy (same delay: 1 minute), friday 12 everythings worked fine, yesterday I was the only in my party to have the problem. I have 2 different PC with about the same configuration, in both of them Edge Chromium and Chrome have the problem. Another MacPro at home with Chrome worked fine. Screenshot following
OK, I think I've started to track it down: 1) Load a Roll20 table 2) Disable my Kaspersky Total Protection 3) Refresh the table - it works with no delays. If I then re-enable Kaspersky it still works with no delays, but if I refresh the delay comes back. So it looks like all of a sudden Kaspersky is causing issues. I just need to track down what aspect of Kaspersky is doing it. Weird, as this never used to be a problem. Of course, Kaspersky could just be a step in the direction to finding the root cause.

I too I'm using Kaspersky cloud but if deactivating the extension or navigate in private mode doesn't solve the problem
find a more beautiful solution :-) I've put https://roll20.net in the exceptions of Kaspersky settings

Kaspersky is russian spyware, so you should probably get rid of it anyway if you value your privacy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaspersky_bans_and_allegations_of_Russian_government_ties
