Thank You For Playing today's game 02/14/2021 - From 8:15 EDT, until 11:15 pm EDT, and our 281st Gaming Session, goes out to:   Barbarian – Human Female – Zhora & Cleric – Human Female - Sheila - Chris M. Everyone Attended!     Game Summary for Sunday Evening (02/14/2021):   Opening Scene: It is now 49 days into the adventure (since setting off in the Belle Venture), and It is now:  6:30 am on September 11th (Day 46 on the Isle of Dread). The party had just dealt with Bugbears and Yaun-Ti purebloods that were guarding a jail and are now freeing the prisoners with the keys they found on the guards, as the chained carrion crawler in the north corner of the jail, watches hungrily from atop a pile of bones.   The prisoners all thank the adventurers for freeing them and ask where they are to go without getting caught again? The former prisoners are told to follow them back to the mongrelmen compound.   The former prisoners tell the party some were traveling on merchant ships that were hi-jacked or simply plotting against the yuan-ti’s rule.   Being chained, it was easy to take out the carrion crawler. Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins:   Xilicien, casted a Magic Missiles spell sending four of them at the carrion crawler dealing 16 total force damage!   Sheila, casted a Prayer spell, raising attack rolls and saves by +1.   Lo Shan, braved getting close to the and waps it hard with the 3-piece-rod dealing 4 bludgeoning damage, defeating the creature!   End of Combat!   The following day the adventurers heads for the market quadrant of the Forbidden City, minus Zhora the barbarian whom had to duck out of the city for a while. They come to a building, where  smoke is seen coming out of two smoke stacks.   Roqar, simply opens a door near where the smoke stacks are and peeks inside to see four Yaun-Ti half-bloods busily prepping food in a kitchen. Then quickly closes the door quietly. The party quickly moves onwards to the palace that is being refurbished, located in the southern center of the city.   With no guards around Lo Shan moves to a door and has a listen, rolling a 33% needing ≤ 35%, he did not hear anything beyond the door. The door opens into a lavishly styled hall with green and white marble flooring.   There are three Fire Newt Guards here. One guard says, “You there at the door, what do you want? Are you a construction worker? No sightseeing here!”   Lo Shan says, “Yes, we are construction workers, told to find out how much more work needs to be done in these rooms”.   The Fire Newt guard says, “This half of the palace is mostly done. Just awaiting furnishings. It’s the south building you should report to!”   Lo Shan whispers, “Should we fight them?”, louder, “Let’s go to the south building then.”   Moving to the south building’s north double doors on it’s west side, Lo Shan has a listen at the door rolling 14% needing ≤ 35%, he heard nothing. So he looks for a trap, rolling 65% needing ≤ 50%, no trap is to be found. He then moves to the west double doors on the west side and listens, rolling a 47% needing ≤ 35%, he didn’t hear anything. So the door is opened in to a reception hall with blue and white marble flooring. Hammering is heard coming from the east side of the building.   Lo Shan moves 60 ft across the hall to the double doors on the east wall and opens them into a throne room, currently be worked on as workers, (various humans, yuan-ti, mongrelmen, bugbears, tasloi and bullywugs,  lay down marble flooring.   Fire Newt Guard says, “Eh, looks like we have more workers showing up today! Good, good, though I doubt you will be comfortable in armor!”   Lo Shan says, “Boss sent us to take over for them, we have a lot more experience and with the throne being here it needs to look good, so they can all leave.”   Fire Newt Guard says, “Is this authorized by the Lizard King himself?! Let’s see the papers then as I was not informed of this sudden change!”   Lo Shan says, “He sent us himself, told us to come right over, right now.”   The Fire Newt Guard looks the group over with extreme doubt, says, “Look, without proper authorization. I ask you all to be gone from the palace at once!”   Sheila says, “By the gods. A fire newt that can read, I thought you were all illiterate.”   Lo Shan says, “Boring conversation anyways.” The Fire New Guard says, “I wasn’t hired to make small talk with troublemakers or sightseers.”   Sheila says, “So your Mommy does not know who fertilized your egg, right?”   Lo Shan lets loose with a flying kick attack at Fire Newt #14, who was not surprised, and missed!   Sheila, pounds Fire Newt #14 for 20 double bludgeoning damage with a critical roll of 20, with the magical +2 footman’s mace, defeating the fire newt!   Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins!   Xilicien, casts the Melf’s Minute Meteors spell at Fire Newt #15 4 of the 5 hitting for a total of 15 damage!   Lo Shan missed Fire Newt #15 with his 3-piece –rod!   Fire Newt #15, breathed fire upon Lo Shan dealing 2 fire damage!   Fire Newt #11, breathed fire upon Sheila dealing 3 fire damage!   Fire Newt #13, missed breathing fire upon Lo Shan!   Fire Newt #12, missed breathing fire upon Lord Cromther!   Lord Cromther, rolls a critical 20, dealing 18 double damage to Fire Newt #11 with his magical +1/+3 vs Regens long sword!   Camlin, fires an arrow with the magical Foeseeker long bow, at point blank range of 6 to 30 ft, dealing 11 damage to Fire Newt #11 and defeating him!   Sheila, rolls a critical hit for 14 double damage with the magical +2 footman’s mace to Fire Newt #12!     Combat Round #02:   Xilicien fires off the remaining 2 Melf’s Minute Meteors, one hits dealing 3 damage the other missed!   Lo Shan, missed with the Iron Fist attack at Fire Newt #15!   Fire Newt #15, missed Lo Shan with his falchion sword!   Fire Newt #13, missed Lo Shan with his falchion sword!   Fire Newt #12, strikes Lord Cromther for 3 damage with the falchion sword!   Lord Cromther, rolls a critical 20 for double damage of 30 with his +1/+3 long sword at Fire Newt #12, defeating him!   Camlin, fires an arrow at PBR 6-30ft, hitting Fire Newt  #13 for 11 damage!   Sheila, just missed Fire Newt #13 with her +2 footman’s mace!     Combat Round #03:   Xilicien, stays back for now.   Lo Shan, pounds Fire Newt #15 for 7 damage with the nunchaku, defeating him!   Fire Newt #13, missed Sheila with the falchion sword!   Lord Cromther, just missed Fire Newt #13 with his +1/+3 Long sword!
Camlin, fires an arrow at PBR 6-30ft at Fire Newt #13, hitting for 11 damage!   Sheila, pounds Fire Newt #13 with her +2 footman’s mace for 8 damage, defeating him!   End of Combat!   Nothing of value is found upon the Fire New Guards, unless someone wanted chain mail or a falchion sword.   The workers whom were either watching the fight, simply get back to work. Though some had initially fled fearing for their life.   Lo Shan opens up a double door on the east wall which opened to the outside with a nice view of the lake!   Then moves to the south double doors, which also opens outside with another view of the lake. A closer look at the new throne shows it is made from a purple colored stone.   Heading out the north double doors here, they move north east outside, 45 ft, to another set of double doors and open them into a grand entry hall with 3 Fire Newt Guards and charge into the room!   Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 Begins:   Lo shan, rolls a critical roll of 20 for 14 double damage with the Iron Fist attack on Fire Newt #02!   Fire Newt #01, missed breathing fire at Camlin!   Xilicien, casts Ray of Enfeeblement at Fire Newt #02, and failing his save vs spell, his strength was reduced 33%, losing 4 hit points!   Fire Newt #03, missed breathing fire at Lord Cromther!   Sheila, just missed Fire Newt #03, with her +2 footman’s mace!   Camlin, almost fumbled his magical +1 Calenyanda long sword, trying to strike Fire Newt #01!   Lord Cromther, slashed Fire Newt #03 for 13 damage with the +1/+3 long sword!   Fire Newt #03, slashed Lo Shan for 5 damage with his falchion sword!   2 nd Attacks for Round #01:   Lo Shan, pounds Fire Newt #02 with the Kung Fu Iron Fist elbow shot, dealing 6 bludgeoning damage, and defeating him!   Lord Cromther, slashed Fire Newt #03 for 10 damage with the +1/+3 long swordf!     Combat Round #02:   Lo Shan, missed Fire Newt #01 with the Kung Fu Knee Shot Kick!   Fire Newt #01, missed Camlin with the falchion sword!   Xilicien stays back away from the fight.   Fire Newt #03, missed Sheila, with the falchion sword!   Sheila, pounds Fire Newt #03 with the +2 footman’s mace for 9 damage, defeating him!   Camlin, slashed Fire Newt #01 for 5 damage with the +1 Calenyanda long sword!   Lord Cromther, moves to attack another Fire Newt.     Combat Round #03:   Lo Shan, waps Fire Newt #01 for 5 damage with the nunchaku!   Fire Newt #01, swings his falchion sword missing Lo Shan!   Xilicien, stays back.   Sheila, rolls a critical 20 for double damage of 20, on Fire Newt #01 with the +2 footman’s mace, defeating him!   End of Combat!   Lo Shan moves to the east double door and tries to open it and here one of the yaun-ti’s on the other side was holding the door handle, having peeked into the room. Lord Cromther, easily kicks the door open with his great strength rolling a 1 needing ≤ 13 on an Open Normal Door check!   Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins:   Lo Shan, missed with an Iron Fist attack on Fire Newt #10!   Three Fire Newts stay back away from the door for now.   Sheila, pounds with a critical roll of 20 for 12 double damage to Fire newt #06, with the +2 footman’s mace!   Lord Cromther, slashed Fire Newt #06 for 13 damage with the +1/+3 long sword, defeating him!   Fire Newt #10, missed Lo Shan with it’s fire breath!   Camlin, fires an arrow but missed Fire Newt #05!   2 nd Attacks for Round 1:   Lo Shan, waps Fire Newt #10 for 5 damage with the nunchaku!   Camlin, fires an arrow, hitting Fire Newt #05 for 11 damage!   3 rd Attacks for Round 1:   Camlin, fires an arrow, hitting Fire Newt #05 for 13 damage, defeating him!   Combat Round #02:   Lo Shan, missed Fire Newt #10 with his nunchaku!   Two Fire Newts stay back.   Xilicien, stays back.   Fire Newt #04, missed Camlin with the falchion sword!   Sheila, moves 60 ft to the east.   Lord Cromther, slashed Fire Newt #04 for 10 damge with the +1/+3 long sword!   Fire Newt #10, slashed Lo Shan for  3 damage with the Falchion sword!   Camlin, slashed Fire Newt #04 for 4 damage with the +1 Calenyanda sword!     Combat Round #03:   Lo Shan, pounds Fire Newt #10 for 8 damage with the Kung-Fu Iron Fist body punch!   Two Fire Newts stay back and so does Xilicien.   Fire Newt #04, slashed Camlin for 2 damage with the falchion sword!   Sheila, moves another 60 ft to get over to the fight.   Lord Cromther, slashed Fire Newt #04 for 9 damage with the +1/+3 long sword!   Fire Newt #10, missed Lo Shan with the falchion sword!   Camlin, slashed Fire Newt #04 for 6 slashing damage due to a +2 bonus now, and defeats him!   2 nd Attacks Round #03:   Lo Shan pounds Fire Newt #10 for 6 bludgeoning damage with the Iron fist attack!     Combat Round #04:   Lo Shan, slaps Fire Newt #10 with the 3-piece-rod for 7 damage, defeating him!   Fire Newt #07, missed using his fire breath on Lo Shan, whom dodged out of the way!   Two Fire Newts and Xilicien all stay back from the fight in the door way.   Sheila, and Lord Cromther  moved another 60 ft closer to the combat.   Camlin moved closer to the combat.
2 nd Attacks Round #04:   Lo Shan, missed his Kung Fu Kick knee shot on Fire Newt #07!     Combat Round #05:   Lo Shan, pounds Fire Newt #07, with the Iron Fist attack, for 7 damage!   Fire Newt #07,  attack with the falchion sword and missed Lo Shan!   Two Fire Newts and Xilicien continue to stay back from the fight.   Sheila, reaches the doorway and casts a Cure Light Wounds spell upon Lo Shan healing back 8 hit points!   Lord Cromther, continues to move to the doorway.   Camlin, fires an arrow, at PBR of 6 to 30 ft, striking Fire Newt #08 for 5 damage!   2 nd Attacks for Round #05:   Lo Shan, swings his nunchaku, missing Fire Newt #07!     Combat Round #06:   Lo Shan, swings his nunchaku, missing Fire Newt #07!   Fire Newt #07, swings his falchion sword missing Lo Shan!   Two Fire Newts and Xilicien stay put.   Sheila, casts a Cure Light Wounds spell upon Lo Shan, healing back 6 hit points!   Lord Cromther, moves closer to the east wing.   Camlin, fires an arrow at PBR of 6-30 ft, missing Fire Newt #08!   2 nd Attacks for Round #06:   Lo Shan, missed with his Iron Fist attack on Fire Newt #07!     Combat Round #07:   Lo Shan, pounds Fire New #07 with the Kung-Fu Iron Fist vitals punch, for 3 damage!   Fire Newt #07, swings his falchion sword missing, Lo Shan!   Two Fire Newts and Xilicien continue to stay back.   Sheila, pounds Fire Newt #07 with the +2 footman’s mace for 6 damage!
