[LFP] Call of Cthulhu West March Style Game

Greetings! Several friends and I will be running a West March style Call of Cthulhu campaign called "Schuyler's Eyes". We already have a Discord server for D&D we've been running west marches and other campaigns on for a couple years now. For the sake of variety, we decided that our next game we will be running for our friends will be a Call of Cthulhu 7th edition game. We are also welcoming anyone who'd be interested in joining from roll20 at large.  The first official session will be starting on Sunday, March 7th.   If you've never played Call of Cthulhu, don't worry! It's a very easy system to learn when compared to D&D and you don't even really need access to the rule book. The other DM's and I will be holding multiple character creation sessions over the next week to show people how to make their character and also go over basics of game play.   The campaign with be set in New York City, 1921. Schuyler's Private Investigation Firm is a newly formed company that will be the base of operations for your characters. Your character can be either a detective working directly for the company, or a consultant that is hired on a case-by-case basis for their expertise in a particular field. The campaign will be focused on rooting out the occult and supernatural in a world that doesn't believe in such superstitions and conspiracies, investigating heinous crimes that local police forces have either no interest in or no capability of solving. The investigations will have the potential to span across the whole globe, and will often require multiple sessions before the crime is truly solved. There will be announced time skips and the campaign will span years worth of in-game time.   Please keep in mind that Call of Cthulhu is a Horror styled game system, with many mature themes. If you are uncomfortable with potentially disturbing descriptions of horror or crime, this probably isn't the campaign for you. Though if you do join up and ever feel that a particular topic is making you uncomfortable, we would encourage you to notify the DM so they can tone down the description to respect your comfort level. If you are interested in joining, please send me a PM and I will invite you to our Discord server!
Hi James, this looks great! what time/zone will you be playing?
Times will be US Eastern and generally in the evening around 8 or 9 PM. There will be earlier times on the weekends, but it'll really just be whenever the DMs have the availability. I'd say around 4 sessions a week.
Hi, I have never played before, but I would love to learn as I love the setting. I'm open to being a te player and feedback about character or just how to play in general. I can play during the time you listed, but could I ask which 4 days you would plan on playing? If there's anything you want to know from me please feel free to ask, and if I'm not a fit for your game then I wish you the best 👍  Patrick
Thanks James. I’m over in Dublin so unfortunately the times would not be good for me.  Pity - I’d love to get back into Cthulhu!!
Sorry to hear that Deano, time zones are always the enemy.  Patrick, I'd really not be able to say which days, since it'll really just be up to the various DMs, but I'll certainly always be running at least one on the weekends. I'll send you a discord link and you can join up if you like.
hi I  am interested
Got room for a CoC noob?
Hello Sporefiend and JFrosk, glad to see you are interested! Don't worry about being a noob, JFrosk, most of us are. I'll send you both a Discord link.
Are you still recruiting? I and a friend are looking to join if so.
