Hi everyone! I am currently running a Monster of the Week hybrid campaign based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Basically, each game stands alone, and so players can hop in and out depending on interest/schedule. Games rotate nights every 10-14 days to accommodate a variety of schedules. No one is tied to playing one particular character, but have options to play around. The story does build on itself, but with each game, the players get to add their own flavor to it and also flex their Buffy fandom muscles. We've only had 2 games so far. We're currently in March 1997 in the game, where Buffy has just recently moved to Sunnydale. Giles has already been killed off, and she has a new Watcher, Deirdre Page. Jenny Calendar just got hospitalized by a rogue vampire. Xander and Cordelia were accidentally turned into toads by Amy Madison, but were changed back to human at the end of the last game. Amy herself accidentally turned herself into a rat (pure coincidence) but also got transformed back. We also have an OC, Cooper Tinsmith, who is the bartender at the Bronze and sick of vampire's poor tipping. In the next game, scheduled for 3/12 at 5pm MST, Buffy, Xander, and Willow go to Venice Beach for spring break, but a vamp run-in leads them to team up with 17-year-old Charles Gunn and his younger sister, Alonna Gunn. This particular game will interact with several characters from Angel the Series prior to their stint on the show. So again, lots of opportunities for fan creativity. I'm always looking for new players. For this next game, I need a Buffy and a Charles Gunn. But for future games, you can pretty much have your pick of characters, or even create an OC. We use Monster of the Week as our foundation. If you're not familiar with it, it's a pretty easy game to learn and other players are more than happy to help you out. I'm specifically looking for players over the age of 18, inclusive-minded, quick-witted, and creative. The point of this is to create an altverse, so please be willing to go with the flow and not feel married to the story of the show. If you're interested or just want to chat with me about it, you can: a) post here, b) email me at thefirerabbit658@gmail.com, c) or hit me up on Facebook, Kasai Usagi. Thanks and happy playing!
