New DM looking for GMT Group (DnD 4e)

Okay, so i have been in this forum a while trying to find a small group new or expert of player to play with and my luck has been zero a part from a few one-shots and small testing games, which i really enjoyed and had fun. But those games only lasted those few hours, i wanted a long campaign where i could evolve my character but no luck so far. So i decided that if i am ever going to play is by becoming a DM, so i grabbed the second book and here i am ready and able. Just a small warning, i am a beginner when it comes to tabletop RPG's and even though i read the books it will take me a while to get the hang of things. Since i have no idea on where to start about creating an adventure and encounters i am going to use the DM handbook premade adventure for the first session.(If it ever comes to existence that is XD) I am looking for 4 to 6 player of any experience, doesnt matter if you never played or if are an expert at this, for those who wish to learn i will teach what i know. Preferably it would be nice if you have a mic, i dont require cam because i also dont have one ^^', the way we use that mic will be determined later, depending on the players.  Like i said before the time is GMT, but at the end of the month it will change to +1GMT, not that much of a difference, just a small warning. The time and day will be later decided when and if we have the players but i doubt it will be any earlier than 1900 during weekdays (weekends may vary). I'm interested in playing. I'm an experienced DM and Player, and have recreated Fallcrest's 28 locations into roll20, including Kobold Hall and The keep on the Shadowfell. I'm not bragging, i'm offering its use. As well as my general knowledge on DMing. Give me a PM if you're interested. *Wink*

Hey SKLoyal, I know exactly what you mean and have been in the same predicament! I'm quite new to the game as well and it would be great to find a group that actually has the desire to go beyond the one-shot. I'm fairly new to it all as well, but I'm quite sure that , as a collective , it's more than easy to pull off and everyone normally seems very patient with first time DM's, so I wouldn't worry much bout that. And noone would probably mind to do some of the premade adventures.  It might be handy to note down which resource materials you allow players to use (PHBs and such). I have heard it doesn't benefit starting DMs if you open up the full spectrum of races/combos/feats etc.  I applaud your initiative and I would love to join the game

I'd be interested in playing 4e. I'm somewhat new as a player and i'm always wanting to get more experience in playing so this would be awesome :D. Only thing i don't know about is the timezone you're referencing? I live in central USA time zone, so idk what that would translate to. but i'd like to join in if it'd be ok. and if it works with my time ofc :D

GMT = UK, GMT+1 = Western-Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain)

Wow, its awesome to have so many responses in the few minutes i have posted this topic and so many people willing to play. John H.: Yes, you are bragging, you bragger... jk XD, And that sounds awesome, i have already created Kobold Hall(A little badly made, but it got the job done), but i would love your advice and knowledge, and the use of the maps if you so generously offer Ralph V.: Thanks for the kind words, and that is actually a good point about the materials, i haven't really thought about it because i didnt have any player yet, but we will probably just use the PHB 1 and 2, with these two we get a wide array of races and classes and abilities and still not overburden the player or me (That and I only read those two, i still only checked the topics of the rest of the books ^^'). Blake N. and Sho: Everybody is welcome, though if you do join, best case scenario, on a weekday it will be around midnight in your area, again weekend may vary and the games may start sooner.

Midnight for me is fine, but if your time is ahead of ours it should be earlier no?

i'm up most every night till the sun comes up... so a late game would not be a problem...

PHB 1 and 2 sounds great! Have to drag them up again and pull out the character creator, but I believe I still have a Warlock and Avenger that fit the standards.

@Blake: Would be earlier yes. If we start at 7pm GMT, it would be around 1 or 2pm US time.

I would like to join in as well if it is still possible but i dont have any expirience with DnD but would really like to try it.

Ups, your absolutely right, my bad, counted in the wrong direction XD though that seem like a worst time than a good one --' And Ralph, worst case scenario on the first session we go through the character creation to at the same time help those who need help at it Edit: Earris: ALL PLAYER ARE WELCOME! Doesn't matter if you don't have experience ^^  But the slots are getting filled fast, at a later time we have to see who really can stay and those who cant

7pm gmt would be 12am est... and i could make that most nights of the week... just not thursday night.

In hindsight, you might be right indeed. That would probably be the best , so we all build them in the same ways and such. For those who want/need it, I have DDI so I can use the D&D Character creator for those new or not having a lot of experience filling in the sheets. 

@SKLoyal : That time is still fine for me XP kind of in a break time between getting out of school and going back. won't be for a while so my schedule is clear for a long time XP

Well, for now we reached the 6 people limit. So no more players are being accepted for now. Things may change and we may accept more player at a later time

Bah Server maintenance. I was going to put my hand up for a +1 player if needed, GMT+10 here. only 1 day I cant change to play would be your Tuesday night/My Wednesday.

Since we got into a big scheduling mess we would now still need two more people to fill our campaign. We were trying to go for a all arcane theme and could use a Sorcerer and Wizzard. But if we cant find one we would be totally fine with having other classes on the same role slots. At this point we would try to play our first game on Wednesday 27th March 19:00 GMT.

I can make a character real quick let me know all the character creation rules and i can join you. I have wide open availability and can make the Wednesday time.
