Hi, my DM is having issues making a post for some reason so I made one for him, Everything after the ... is the DMs posting. . . . . . War between the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty causes chaos through the continents. Political factions try to take advantage of the chaos, scrabbling over each other for power and control. Meanwhile, everyone else just tried to live. Keep going, keep their heads down. But there's been a sudden surge in the amount of monsters, a surge the guard was not prepared to deal with. They can face the bandits, the occasional orc raiding party; but they were not prepared for ghosts, demons and giants. And so, there is a sudden need for monster hunters and adventures. A sudden need for holy men, blood hunters, and entertainers. A sudden need for you. Hey there! This campaign is set in the world of Wildemount, but don't be stingy about sticking to CR cannon because I won't be. The story will be small-scale. It is inspired by the Witcher series, specifically the Netflix series and parts of the Witcher 3. The borrowed parts are designed to make monsters more interesting, and the fights with them more deadly while also more rewarding. This game has already had a few sessions, but with people coming and going due to the ever chaotic time that is the pandemic, we find ourselves in need of a new party. The current party consists of a wizard/artificer multi-class and a straight wizard. You will be starting at 4th level. Don't worry about doing the chronicle, we'll do that together before session. Any UA or homebrew must be run by me first. I'll likely say yes, but always be sure to ask. And I will allow Matthew Mercer's homebrew Bloodhunter class, but do not feel like you must use it to play a monster hunter. I've been DMing for 2 years, but I still have much to learn. I know the rules fairly well, but I may slip up every now and then. Just give me a sec to process it, and don't get too hurt over my off the pants rulings. I'm a theater kid, so you can expect voices, emotion and all that acting jazz. I appreciate good role-playing a lot, so that's also something to keep in mind. I use discord for voice communication. Now just to be sure you read it to the end, I want you to do something for me ;) I want you to start your post with "I AM-", then go to the next line and fill out the application. When you are done, I'd like you to go to the next line and finish your application with "- A FISH". Extra brownie points if you get the reference ;)
