Fading images in/out

Hello, when in "storytelling-mode" I often take a parchment image as the page background and present my players some images of locations, npcs, monsters while "storytelling" the game (I place them on the GM layer and then just move them to the token layer). It would be much more atmospheric to be able to fade this images into the page instead of just letting them "pop-up" ... Is ther any way to do this? Greetings, - Oliver
One of the API gnomes will no doubt flash some mind bending solution to this. As a mere mortal I would probably put multiple tinted overlays and delete them one at a time, or send them to the GM layer one at a time. As I typed that, I had a flash of gnomic inspiration, you could send them to the GM layer with TokenMod and a macro. As you lay down the layers get the ids /w GM @{selected|token_id} and make macros to move the layers.

AFAIK, there is no way to to a fade transition per se. You did give me a neat idea, though: an out-of-the-box-thinking application of the latest version of my Spawn Default Token script that can provide some kind of animated scene transition. Requires v0.14 or later (currently only available as manual install). Click below for animated gif of it in action. I had to click fast and crop the video a lot to fit it within the 10MB forum limit, haha. An explanation of how this is set up can be found in the forum thread here .
