5e D&D Character Sheets rolling wrong.

I've been having some issues with rolling in tonight's session - the modifiers that roll20 adds automatically are way out of whack (+17s for level 2 characters, etc.) and I have no idea what's wrong. Some of the rolls are working fine, but a level 2 rogue with proficiency and expertise in Perception (15 WIS) is rolling +17s and some other random rolls (not all!) are off by +/- 1 or 2. I can't find any rhyme or reason for why some things are working properly and others aren't. We decided to reschedule for saturday, so I'm hoping to have this fixed before then.

In order to get any help, you'll need to post details about what the character sheet looks like (screencaps of the sheet in question) and what clicking on the roll button sends to chat (put the cursor in chat and then tap the up arrow to see what was last sent to chat) at a minimum.
Ah, I didn't realise, thank you. Clicking the roll sends: "@{Roamy|perception_roll}" and the character sheet looks like  this:

Hmm, I'd try toggling the proficiency and/or expertise on and off to see if it will reset the value.
Tried that, didn't work. I'm also having the same issues (wrong bonus modifiers) with other character sheets that have the same exact chat output, but the character sheet says +4 and it's rolling a +2 etc. It does look like recreating the sheets from scratch solves whatever the issue is, and it's only 5 level 2 characters, so I might have to bite the bullet and do that.

Can you take a screencap of what the hovertext on the roll says? And can you screencap what the settings page section for expertise looks like? And, finally, see what the following puts into chat: pbd_safe: @{roamy|pbd_safe}

A screen shot of a problem character's settings page would help, too, since there are modifiers on there. Also (less likely) you may have a piece of equipment with a Mod value on it.
Pictures attached.  I tried  pbd_safe: @{roamy|pbd_safe} into chat and it came up with just "pdb_safe:". If I put it in without the section before the colon. it came up with nothing. I also checked the items and none of them have any mods on. I'm going to bed now and I'll check the thread again in the morning. Thanks for the help so far, guys.

You must have a mod entered in one of your equipment items. I'd open each of those up and see if there's something weird there. Edit: Although your proficiency is wrong too. Hmm, not real sure what's going on, it almost looks like the macro for the skill has been corrupted.
It looks to me like the roll template to roll the perception check is borked. The sheet is set to Always Roll with advantage so you should get two rolls separated by a vertical line. In the Attributes and Abilities tab, scroll down the Attributes to find perception_roll. Delete it. Go back to the character sheet core page and uncheck the proficiency for Perception. It should change from the 6 to 2. Check it again. Then roll perception and see what output it gives. You might need to close and reopen the sheet after you make changes.

Hi guys, I'm back. Doug E's advice didn't work either. I think a bunch of rolls must have been corrupted, so unless I fix them manually (if that'll hold even) I think re-creating the character sheets and hoping it doesn't happen again is my best bet, to be honest. I just hope it doesn't happen again when everyone has a much busier character sheet! Is it possible it was because of the faulty updates that were put out a day or so ago?

Unlikely to be related. We would have seen a lot more reports.
