So. Today, I noticed my Rime of the Frostmaiden game had an update available. The patch notes said "Removed maps that were included without reason", or something of the sort. So I figured, eh, why not, let's do it and get rid of the notification. And yes, indeed, the DMG Ship map that had nothing to do here was removed. Maybe one or two others I forgot. What the update didn't say was that EVERY NON CUSTOM THING HAS BEEN RESET . Every single map that I had changed the scale to meters and replaced the name tags because my group plays in French, is back to what it was at start. Every single handout that I had spent hours translating so I didn't have to do it on the fly during sessions, is now back in English. Awesome , I am SO looking forward to redoing it all again. At least I was lucky enough to have only barely begun the campaign, so the maps weren't all that "lived in". But what if a DM updates the campaign while in the middle of a dungeon crawl? I can confirm that it's a full reset by the way, since the dungeon my players had cleared, is no longer cleared. Basically, anything "custom", like character sheets or maps or handouts that I had created, are fine. Everything else is reset to its starting state [Edit] Actually no the DMG ship map is still here. What the heck was this update actually supposed to DO?
