Hear ye hear ye! The
great and mighty king Ravir Goldstrell summons all able-bodied folk to
partake in the reclamation of the forsaken land Yonapalur. While
you are free to explore any ruins, abandoned cities and random holes in
the ground, Your Highness will reward pioneers who focus on
establishing and fortifying a foothold in the area. Any who as much as
survive a year in the Cursed Continent will earn a royal pardon of any
crimes previous to their departure, as well as the deed to any and all
land you and your unit acquire. With
your well-being and success in mind, the Kingdom of Relia will provide
all prospective pioneers with additional training and funding, as well
as a unit of like-minded individuals of complementing skillsets. By
agreeing to the terms of the Yonapaluri Reclamation Charter as written
by Your Highness King Ravir Goldstrell of Relia, Auriport and The
Zolliri Isles; you also acknowledge the Kingdom of Relia's rights of
sovereignty over any reclaimed land, as well as the Kingdom's right to
station troops therein, levy taxes and conscript troops in times of war.
Any artifacts of major power retrieved will be reclaimed by the Crown
after being entrusted to the reclaimer for ten (10) years. - Todvaro the Punctual, royal advisor and coordinator of the Unified Yonapaluri Reclamation Efforts. About the game I have asked, (some of) you have answered, and here it is. This is not just a homebrew campaign, it is your campaign. The D&D version of Minecraft, where your group is alone in the wilderness with nothing but your wits and a series 7 de-atomizer starting gear. Your chance to build the world around you... or die trying. But
remember: you're not alone. Other pioneers are out there, competing for
space and resources. Not to mention all the monsters of course. The
goal is to have a full campaign, going from level 1 to 20 or close to
it, with two separate parties in the same continent. This is a strict no
PVP game, so one group cannot attack or steal from the other. NPC
parties are fair game however. More importantly, any resource or
location of interest one group unlocks will become available for the
other, potentially at a fee, and items one party sells to merchants
become available to the other party for purchase. Coastal
areas are safer, but have been plundered already. Inland areas are
richer, but more dangerous and supplies will have a harder time reaching
you. About the road so far The
party started by being dropped off in a hostile land with nothing but
their gear and one another. After two months (in game), they have
finally established something of a safe haven, and reached level 4. About you You're
a pioneer. Whether you volunteered to have your crimes pardoned, to
seek fame and fortune, because you heard of some artifact of great value
or some other reason, you are now stuck with a group of strangers in a
cursed land that has resisted every attempt of recolonization so far. About me I've
been DMing Dungeons and Dragons for six years. My approach to games is
very sandboxy: i create the world, the players create the game. The
players can't ruin my plans if i have absolutely no plans in the first
place, it's a win-win! Even
when designing shorter adventures i go through the extra planning to
make sure players have more than one way of doing things. In
my earlier days i did that to a fault, often leaving inexperienced
players with no idea what to do. After a while i changed my method to
the "infinite +3 alternatives" where the players are presented with
clear options and plots, while still having the option to do whatever
they want. "Never have I imagined that character creation could be this deep and immersive." - Emajenus, a first-time player. "A quality DM" - Av777, customer. "5/7 DM" - KuriBro, player. "That was a great dungeon, loved how everything fit together and the unique encounters" - Gouresdo, after a quarantine module. "I'm
in the first group of Yonapalur colonizers and have been playing with
this guy for awhile. He is worth it! Puts a lot of work into his games,
and whenever I feel like he could improve on something, I'll tell him
so in his evaluations he puts up after each game and its fixed by the
next time. In my experience, that willingness to correct is rare among
gms! Recommend. :)" - CapnCrinklepants, my first paying player. LGBT friendliness policy I
don't care about your gender, biological sex, sexual orientation,
political opinions, religion, or pretty much anything. You can tell by
the fact I'll never ask you any of that. That means i will neither treat
you worse for any of it, nor will i treat you any better. I've
studied at a college where 90% of the males in my class were gay
(literally 18/20), and last year one of my best friends came out as
trans. From my experience, not giving a shit is exactly the right thing.
LGBT people just want to be treated as people, and that's what i do. If
you're a good player, who gets along with the others and is respectful,
that's honestly all that matters. Actually your nationality matters a
little bit, but only insofar as it affects timezones. Technical stuff Session Length:
