Waterdeep, the City of Splendors – the most resplendent jewel in the Forgotten Realms, and a den of political intrigue and shady back-alley dealings. Welcome adventurers. Waterdeep: The Bloodless War is a homebrew campaign set on the Faerûnian Sword Coast. **About the setting:** The City of Splendors is certainly the greatest of the Sword Coast cities and perhaps the greatest cities on the face of the world. It’s home to as many as two million people, though an accurate census is all but impossible since so many come and go, visiting the open city to trade and otherwise seek fame and fortune. Waterdeep is a stable and generally peaceful city, where the rule of law is enforced by a huge and well-equipped watch further backed up by some of the most powerful personalities in the Realms. **About the game:** - We will play approximately 4 hour sessions with a 10 min break at the half way mark. - You are expected to stay in character while the game is in session. - You are expected to be respectful of your fellow players, be a good supporting character as well as a good main character. - This game is more RP focused then combat focused by a good margin. - The game will care about religion and politics as well as have mechanics to support that. - Characters will start at level 3, with already an adventure or two under their belts, drawn by the lure of prestige, glory and faith. - All official Wizards of the Coast core books are allowed. **About you as a player:** - You expected to write a backstory and have an active dialogue with the GM concerning how your character fits into the world - You are expected to show up. Real life can happen to all of us but if you miss every other week or turns up an hour late constantly, you will be replaced. - This game is not a way for you to cope with Corona-virus. It will run for a long time and unless you can see yourself reliably attending for the next year you should not apply. - As the setting is forgotten realms, keep that in mind when making your character. The common races are common, the uncommon races exist and the monstrous races are often shot on sight. - You are from Faerun. An adventurer of some persuasion (actual proficiency in Persuasion not required). Level 3. Please use the roll20 listing to apply.
