(Interest Check) Monsterhearts

Hey! I always noticed the popularity from several themes, like fantasy, super heroes and so on, but I never saw someone posting any call for some more intimate themes. So my head brewed this idea: why not do an interest check for an intimate game for a small group of players? And here I am, checking the interest in Monsterhearts, a very intimate game about teenager sexuality and how it forms us, as adults. I am not going to hide it isn't a shiny and shallow game, it is the closest thing I found from a deep theme for an RPG. People at wikipedia use this quote to resume this game " Monsterhearts is a game about "the messy lives of teenage monsters", developed from Apocalypse World and known for its handling of sexuality and queer content [1] and its being nominated or shortlisted for five awards." So if you are interested pm me or post here. I swear the game itself is going to be as intense as we chose to go...

Never heard of the game, but I'm willing to consider it. I'd certainly like to know more about the idea, if you could PM me with more details.

I've never heard of this, myself, but looking up the article of the game itself on wikipedia had me interested. I would like to know more as well.

Definitely down, with a Mortal or the Reverant. Ran it a few times, when everyone takes it seriously there's little better.

I don't have access to the second skins file, but a mortal is always welcome to the game, Golden B. It seems MH generated enough interest. I think it is time to start day and time negotiations. I can't run this game on tuesdays. fridays, saturdays and sundays. And this game are going to be chat and not voice based. So far I have some ideas in my head, but the whole season are going to be based on what the players are going to bring to the game.

I certainly would be interested in this. I've always wanted to play the...Monster hunter hero..I gotta find it and look it up again. The Buffy as it were. Can't do Saturdays though.

i can do monday and thursday but i get called into work on those days sometimes

Monday or Wednesday would be best for me. I have a game that's going to be alternating Thursdays, so I'd be unreliable, at best, for that day.

Depending on times and whatnot, I may be interested as well.

So far Monday is the day, about the time. What do you say about 7:30 pm or 8 pm EST? I can do it earlier if you want.

Earlier would be better, depending on how long we want each session to go. I have to wake up at 4 EST each morning, so I don't want to play for all night.

Seems fine to me. Would our first session be character genning and getting to know each other?

First session is character creation, string designation, home room formation and starting the plot. The string rules give you a bond with the other characters, like the Queen and the Mortal are BFF, but the mortal's true love is the werewolf, who stalked the ghost when he was alive. Of course the queen has her clique (npcs) and the others already have their npc as well.

Also, if I understand things right, the order that backstory is set up also influences how people gain or lose strings before play starts. For instance, the Unseen is supposed to go second to last in backstory generation, and part of the Unseen's backstory causes all strings already on her to be removed (she's invisible) and get one string on each other person (she's watching you).
