[Paid][LFP][Beginner Friendly][5e][DnD]Experienced DM looking for serious players looking for long term games

My name is Jerrod, often I go by Mara or simply Dungeon Master. Please feel free to contact me in regards to any questions you may have. Marathustra#5377 I come from a war gaming background. I have a degree in Philosophy, Religion, and Myth. I lean heavily into problematic choices and the illusion of good and evil. Player choice matters. We play in a grim dark setting, where I encourage players to have two characters created, not because I intend to kill you, but because the setting is meant to be dangerous. Poor choices, and terrible dice rolls... should have dire consequences. A little on my style and the games I run. I really like to 'start' with modules. And let things move forward from there at the design of the party. What this means, is that there is always a need to customize things, but I lean into this. Player choices change the campaign. In the beginning this means, the campaign is often simply large plot points from the module. The party plans, movements and goals change how the module will work. The party decisions with minor NPC's determines plenty of plot points. In the end, what it comes down to, is I use the modules for a lattice and we fill in the meat of the adventure as the full group writing a story together, rather than me writing an elaborate setting. Dice Never Lie current campaigns: This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15 per session paid via Paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. This game encourages tipping the Game Master. Fright Night $15/session On Thursdays, we run approximately 4 hours, from 6-10pm EDT. Currently have 5 players who are level 3, 3 sessions in; looking for a 6th to fill out the party. Playing a gothic horror campaign based off of Ravenloft. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/279140/fright-night Payment for Each Session Why Pay to Play you may ask? Turn over. Free games are there, with enough effort people clearly can play for free. But without an investment, no one but the dm is vested in the campaign, and for the same reason dm's flake and run away just as often as players don't show up. While my games have some turn over, I've found Most players are in it for the long term because they know, they as well as their adventuring party are vested in a higher quality game. Social Contract All of the campaigns and adventuring groups are designed around open-minded welcoming groups. I encourage Role Play which includes acting in character, making decisions from within the mind set of the character, narrating character actions, and speaking in character. I usually am speaking in different voices... sometimes they are almost consistent... Voices are not the have all end all of role play. I may make a fool of myself on a regular basis... Just part of the FUN!!! Part of the 'Session 0' for players joining a campaign after the party session 0 is to talk for a short conversation to learn more about what you are looking for, ways to present your ideal story and ways to avoid soft and hard boundaries. I try to be very interactive in designing around player desires, phobias, fears, and in general avoiding things someone might not want to experience in game. This is specially meaningful in games that are often designed around creating tension through the environment.
Bump- both got a new player and lost a player to Tabaxi espionage destroying her computer. Still looking for one player. Hopefully able to play tonight, but I would want to speak with you As Soon As Possible so we can create your character and start weaving the story to immediately add you into the story.
