Subscription

Hi all We have been playing for about a year with some pauses and I started thinking about subscription for me as a DM and I am researching what it would actually add to our game. I am very interested in automatic random monster damage rolling, for which I understand I would need API, which would mean PRO subscription. I was looking at other benefits from the subscription: Dynamic lightning seems interesting, but not necessarily crucial. Custom character sheets might be nice, but I am afraid my players would mostly stick to the default one. I guess what I am asking is - am I missing some crucial goodie with the subscriptions? Is there any way to have automatic random HP rolling for monsters as I pull their token to the grid, other than API with pro subscription?

The Transmogrifier is extremely useful at the pro level. The API is a game changer if you invest the time.  There isn't a way to randomize monster hit dice without the API.
Well, probably the most immediately useful thing from either subscription is the additional storage space.  Going from 100mb max to 3gb to 6gb means you can do a lot more with maps, art, and handouts without constantly shuffling stuff around, especially if you run more than one game. The API can do amazing things and can almost be a necessity for some systems with odd dice rolling mechanics.

It certainly can be depending on how you run your games and how careful you are with image sizes.  It took me over 2 years to creep past the 100mb mark.  After 4 years, I am still only at 286.  I don't use sound effects or background music though, which would eat into storage much faster.
