Hello adventurers! My name is Brett and I'm assembling a group for a new D&D 5e campaign that, hopefully, will give back to the community in a unique way. I hope to merge the "watch people play D&D" premise with "learn to play D&D." Within the context of our campaign, we'll use graphics and supplements in a similar fashion to the popular Bill Nye educational videos. Roleplaying games have meant a lot to me but I've had many friends leave the community due to anything from shyness to dense rules to gatekeeping and toxic groups. We'll be using a number of resources, for the campaign and project, to embrace all players looking for a positive experience. Vision for the Project Concept: Dimension 20 meets Khan Academy * A D&D show where you can watch a group’s game * Learn how to play through conversation and graphics (like Bill Nye videos) * Get RP tips through game conversation and interviews with players * All tips will be further available in separate documents available for reference & download What players & the audience can expect : * Friendly, creative content intended to give back to the community * Experienced, flexible DM wishing to co-create with a diverse group * Start with published material & sourcebooks (with guidance on reflavoring mechanics) * Available in closed-caption video and audio formats Goals for the group (and possible show): * Create a space for people to connect * Build positive community (without gatekeeping or toxicity) * Get more people into the hobby (RP and games in general) * Help other people understand D&D, if it's for them , and how to make it work for them
