This creature using its divine power to gives everyone born within its borders. This power takes its form as a glyph on the back of your hand. As you continue to help your motherland it will rank up giving you different powers. One hosted by dynasties with magic blood that controls the secret to arcane magic, the other feudalist countries with zealot-like religions which control the path to divine magic. Between these two factions are a group of wondering people only looking out for themselves. This game does not follow a group of heroes or villains but people just looking out for themselves in the midst of constant struggle and warring nations.
