LFG, New Player

Howdy, I'm Church and I'm looking for a group that does either Sci-fi stuff like Warhammer 40K or something more fantasy like classic D&D. I'm pretty much brand new and don't know any of the rules/mechanics so I would love to learn. Now, my schedule is pretty weird. I have long weeks and short weeks at work. On my long weeks I work Monday and Tuesday, then Friday, Saturday, then Sunday. My short weeks, I ONLY work Wednesday and Thursday.. This week, as of 4/22/21 is my short week, so I only work Wednesday and Thursday. Starting on 4/26/21 it will be my long week. I do hope this makes a modicum of sense and accurately portrays my schedule. It is also important to note that I work 12 hour night shifts, so on the days I work I will not be available until around 8 or 9 the following morning. 

Well, I can't help with a campaign because I usually require a pretty steady date ( I run games for a living ), however if you would like I can run you through a primer course (it usually takes an hour) to teach you D&D 5e. This also extends to anyone else who'd like to learn some really basic rules to get started.

I would be happy to help you learn the rules in-game, or ahead of time, and you would also get more character freedom than most are used to from my campaign.
