Despite their best efforts, the party's hidden spot in the forest is rooted out by an air elemental myrmidon. They manage to defeat it, though its attacks are deadly and Elro comes closer to death than is particularly comfortable. Later that night, mage-lights to the north seem to be carried by unknown people, but they do not stumble on the hidden hollow. The next day, J.J. goes into town under a disguise, seeking supplies. Rumors of what has happened at the Cromwell Estate are many and varied, but nobody knows precisely what happened. They keep an eye on it, but mostly go about their business. While Oscar interrogates a local crow, watched over by Elro, Neeral chases into the forest following a series of tracks, then when the trail ends, she attempts to continue the direction they were going. Only Lily knows where all the people are, and it will be up to her to learn what happened to Neeral.
