Hello, I am looking to start a campaign on Thursday nights (8PM CST). This game will take place on a continent where the objective will be to explore the world. The direction of the campaign will rely on the path the players want to go. It will be roleplay heavy and combat focused. Be willing to engage in your character, story, and other players. Hello! I just saw this. I haven't played any D&D at all for several months but I feel ready to start playing again. I have a few character ideas, but I'm still thinking on it. I was feeling either a Ranger or a Fighter, just to keep things simple. If Ranger is okay I'd like to ask which version of Ranger is okay to play. I have a character who's a human girl with a canine animal companion. Her story is basically that she's searching for her sister/trying to find out what happened to her sister. Hey, yo. I'm Hal, or John, depending on how gamer/formal you want to be. I'm 27, and a former professional gambler turned Conservation Biology student living in Florida that spends his free time either in nature hiking, kayaking, or bouldering, or playing DnD, DotA 2, or my trillionth runthrough of New Vegas. I'm hella into active roleplay and since playing Star Wars FFG, have developed a love of more narrative gameplay, so I often play very much from first person up to the point of describing most bodily actions and facial expressions to give my characters more depth. I see someone is already interested in Ranger, so I'll throw my lot in with a Wizard. Since you're allowing UA, I've really had a hankering to play an Owlfolk from the recent Folks of the Feywild release, ideally as an Order of Scribes. I want to up-play the regal nature of owls and the anthropomorphized wisdom attributed to them. I imagine them to be akin to an older wizard in terms of personality, but with the pose and nobility of a youthful person. Hey Cliff, I am kinda interested in your Thursday game, I am currently playing 4 other games through out the week and Thursday is (For what I know) open. I of course have discord cause other wise I wouldn't be replying, though my mic and internet is a little finicky, Lately we have been having a lot of wind here in Vegas, and it's been making my internet crazy. My mic is decent but that is for you to decide. I have a few ideas for characters. and I feel I could fit really any class? (There are some I haven't played as of yet. such as Monk, Bard, and Wizard) I am mostly looking to maybe play a Wizard, paladin, Rogue, (Or I likely could throw a wildcard and play bard.) I've been trying to get more into 1st person rp. Though I do struggle slightly sometimes. So likely would have to be patient with me. I am a story teller, use to speaking 3rd when rping. But am willing if you have the patience to try. I love telling stories with characters, I love going into details with my characters backstories, and I love having that character form friendships and even past that in the party. Having a character learn to trust the party, and open up is huge for me. I am 29 years old. Always looking to play and learn more. Been playing for the last 5 years, (Dming though for 3 years) All that I ask for is some patience. I am a very down to earth type person, chill, and don't cause issues. Hello, I'm very much interested in playing in your campaign! I'm a 20-year-old college student that's been designated the title of forever dm among my friends. Which is why I've never been able to play d&d as a player. My campaign with my friends has been running for about a year and a half. However, I've been feeling a bit of a slump recently and I thought playing as a player would help me out of it, and also because I really want to experience d&d as a player.  For the character, I would like to play a paladin, specifically, a redemption paladin. I haven't fully fleshed out the details of the character since I want to incorporate the in-game lore, but I want to embody the qualities of being a redemption paladin: Protective, wanting to reform evil-doers, and always wanting to help out those in need. I will most likely expand more on that core aspect as I get more info on the world and where I want to take it. I'll probably do a race like a tiefling where the general population thinks they are innately dispositioned towards evil, or any other race that has those qualities in your world. For general backstory, he was taken in by the paladin order when he was caught doing some kind of crime. Instead of being incarcerated, the order reformed him and at the start of the adventure, he wants to repay the world for the kindness that it gave him and to save others that are going down the wrong path like he almost did.  That's all, I hope I can join the game.
