Unclear capabilities for purchased addons (Tales from the Yawning Portal) - disappointment

I purchased the Tales from the Yawning Portal bundle last week and have immediately run into problems with the marketplace description and the actual functionality. Please confirm if my new understanding of the benefits of purchasing an add-on is correct so I don't go insane. - You do NOT get dynamic lighting if you purchase the bundle. I thought that you do get dynamic lighting for just those addons since I spent the $$ on the game. The wording under "Roll20 Enhancements" is: " Over 30 battle-ready maps with dynamic lighting (a plus / pro feature ) to add more drama to your game." I read this as a selling point that we can use dynamic lighting on these adventures even though it it typically a plus/pro feature. If you still need that level of a subscription, then what is the point of advertising this in the marketplace? Are there shortcuts that this game has to making dynamic lighting work? This was NOT clear to me and I pay attention to these sorts of things. I was willing to pay for dynamic lighting, but admit I'm hesitating because of this disappointment. - you can import existing characters into this game using the character vault feature. THIS HAS NOT WORKED! I contacted tech support via "contact us" a week ago and haven't heard anything. I did make a copy of the campaign I built from scratch and added an add-on, but now I have a million maps/characters/items due to the duplication of multiple campaigns in a single game. Please let me know if I'm totally losing it or if my 2 items above are correct. I enjoy being a GM for my nieces and nephews during the quarantine, and hoped that buying an addon for the next step will make my life easier. Instead I've spent way too much time trying to figure out why these two features are not working. Our first scheduled game is tomorrow (Friday, May 14th) night, so any help or clarification would be great! I am willing to become a pro/plus member if that is what it takes, but need to make absolutely sure I know what is and isn't included.

On the Dynamic Lighting, it is telling you that you won't have to draw your own dynamic lighting lines, add light sources, or set up the vision on all the tokens in the Addons because that has been done for you. It does not give you access to the feature, but if you have access to the feature (via a Plus or Pro subscription) it's completely ready. On the Character Vault, that seems like a mistake. I know official Modules will often have Character Vault importing regardless of subscription tier, but I don't think that's the case with Addons.
Thanks for the quick response. I got used to eyeballing sight-lines using the fog of war reveal, so can do that for now instead of dealing with dynamic lighting. Whether or not I become a plus/pro subscriber is really up to the character vault issue. I have included an image of the marketplace item, along with the URL of that item. It clearly says in the bottom that the Character Vault has "All Access Vault Enabled" and I have seen old threads of this not working right even though it was supposed to. URL of the marketplace item (see the bottom of the page): Yawning Portal Bundle
Thanks so much for your report, Matthew. I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues. TheAaron has correctly clarified the dynamic lighting information (thanks!), but I'll still pass that to the team in case there's better clarity they'd like to get on those going forward. As for the All Access Vault Enabled - that is a bug that's appearing on all marketplace pages, regardless of content type. The Character Vault has limited capabilities at the free level. Purchasing a marketplace item does not work around those subscription tier perks. You can find out more about the character vault here, if you haven't already: https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360037258594-Character-Vault#CharacterVault-ImportingCharacters I've submitted your report on that as a bug, so it can be addressed. If at any point you are unhappy with a purchase and would like a refund, you can find information on that here: https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360037254314-Refund-Policy Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, and I hope your game goes great!
Thank you Dean for responding. I would strongly suggest that you add something in each Marketplace item that advertises this "all access vault enabled" feature that it is currently not working for free users. I was very nervous purchasing this because of the 2 features I was excited about - and neither one of them are working as I expected (one due to wording, and another due to that bug). For the dynamic lighting, I would suggest that you guys reword it to say: "... dynamic lighting (only available to plus/pro users ) to add more drama to your game." I bolded the updated text. An alternate wording could be "(functionality only available with a plus/pro subscription)" For now I copied over the entire campaign I created and will add to that. Will see how tomorrow's game goes to decide if I want to become a plus user and get those perks.
