This chronicles the first 1,000 years of the Dwarvish Empire. Dwarven History: Clan Severinwin and Clan Heftisug are the two largest Dwarven clans and the King or High Clan Chief has always descended from the two clans. Clan Severinwin was the original clan that was held in prominence over the other clans until the First Demon Wars. Due to the inept leadership of Arakreth Severinwin, thousands of dwarves died during the war and it was not until Morgan Foulbane rallied the humans of Chattignon and was backed by the Elves of the Thechlon Empire that the dwarves were able to counter the demons. Because of Arakreth's inaction and the loss of so many lives, the other clan leaders demanded that he stepped down as ruler and appointed allow Clan Hetisug rulership of the clans. · Rulers: High Chief Dalgal Heftisug of Clan Heftisug Government: clanocracy Culture: Dwarves Population: 13,159,856 History: Dwarves are based around Clans. Each clan is an interconnected extended. Leadership of clans are both by election and hereditary ascension. The king of the dwarves is chosen by merits of their clan and personal accomplishments. The ruling clan leads lands of Musheldur and Oroford during peace peace and during war, they control all of the Dwarven lands. The king of the dwarves appoints the Lord Governor of Oroford. The High Chiefs of Nu Liyevifulkn trace their lineage to the beginning of history. M Musheldur was founded before any known history. · year 13 - Mary Sherbourne is born with a prophetic birthmark marking her for greatness she becomes the first clan leader of Severinwin. · year 77 - Mary Sherbourne brings two bitterly opposed religious orders together in peace. · year 111 - Mary Sherbourne is betrayed by her evil twin and ousted as clan chief. · year 120 - Mary Sherbourne tricks the Conclave of Elders out of a vast fortune, and escapes to another nation to enjoy the rest of her days in opulence. · year 124 - Yrsa Blackshanks is the only person to survive a poisoned feast, it is rumored that Clan Heftisug was trying to poison their rivals . · year 132 - Yrsa Blackshanks retires from adventuring and abdicates his claim on the throne allowing his cousin Joznaeda Severinwin ascend the throne. Ysra opens and runs the most famous tavern in Musheldur. Year 135 Oroford is founded. The surrounding lands and forests are claimed by the dwarves. · Year 152 – The Dwarvish province of Oroford loses a forest province to Felaern. The Dwarves lose most of their territory to the elves. Year 152 – The Dwarven/Elven wars begin · year 158 - Bilin Coinsmiter goes down in a glorious but doomed last stand defending Oroford. His death will become a catalyst of the dwarves and signal a turning point of the war. · year 197 - Eleanor Holcott of clan Atlizol is visited by a deity and given a holy quest. y Year 167 - Eleanor Atlizol gives away her family's entire fortune to the poor and sets forth on her vision quest to fulfill the prophecy laid upon her by her diety · year 204 - Eleanort is captured by the Elven army, but makes a thrilling escape. · year 211 - Eleanor Holcott accidentally fulfills a tragic prophecy and discovers the land of Minotaurs, she is captured by the minotaurs. · year 228 - Lord Mayor of Hisdarihm Kenias Garrard of Clan Dun Eigapug declares the virtue of Heroism to be the only divinity and outlaws worship of other gods. He is soon disposed by the other clans as a heretic · year 251 - Eleanor languishes as a prisoner of the minotaur dies in their dungeon. She is seen as a martyr. Her death in the dungeons of the minotaurs is seen as a disgraceful and dishonorable actions by the minotaurs. The minotaurs apologize for their actions and communications between the two nations is opened. year 279 - Herbyartur, one of the most powerful Dwarven wizards ever, survives three different fatal diseases in a single year. year 284 - Herbyartur collapses an entire cavern upon his enemies. Herbyartur's exploiots during the war become legendary. year 287 - Inspired by the music of Herbyartur Drakemace, High Chief Alma Orclight establishes a new tax to fund the arts and scholarship. Herbyartur helps with the blessing of the High Chief to establish the arcane academy within Dwarven lands. year 291 - The army scores a stunning victory when Dwarven wizards disguise their forces with powerful illusions. year 299 - Herbyartur Drakemace creates a breathtaking magical artifact of great power. year 305 - Herbyartur Drakemace is mistaken for someone else and killed by bounty hunters. His artifact is forever lost. · year 357 - Gilbert becomes the youngest dwarf to climb each of Gleannland's tallest peaks. · year 404 - Gilbert is elected High Chief and has a spectacular palace constructed, rivaling that of the High Chief Alma Orclight . year 432 – The Dwarves rally their allies and attack the Elves, several hundreds of thousands of Elves die as an army of Minotaurs, Ogres, and Dwarves lay siege upon the elves. The prophecy of Eleanor Holcott's sell fulfilling prophecy that the needless and selfless death of a a single dwarf will bring great and powerful allies to the dwarven people is fully revealed. · year 486 - Zim's rise to power begins when he heads a mutiny at sea and installs himself as the captain of his own ship. Zim becomes the first and most famous of all dwarven pirates. · year 546 - The tales of Zim of the Dark Water's dungeon delving can be heard in every tavern in the empire. The stories of Zim become something of legend, when his ship is lost at sea, rumors persist that he still sails the oceans upon a ghost ship. year 636 – The Dwarves lose the Battle of the Trackers' Virtue and cedes territory to Thechlon. A quarter of the population of Oroford is absorbed into Thechlon. · year 674 - Scarlet Bramblethorn becomes a spy for the Conclave of Elders. · year 706 - Scarlet Bramblethorn dedicates her remaining years to improving the lot of the poor after retiring from years of service to the dwarven people. When she dies years later, the Empire recognizes her as one of the most influential females in history. · year 712 - Fenrick Wolfmane becomes the focus of a political struggle between two powerful families. year 718 - Fenrick Wolfmane is horribly scarred by a creature from beyond. year 719 - Citizens are not surprised when High Chief Bil Drakebrew apoints his favorite horse, Prestige, to a seat on the Clan Council. year 728 - Fenrick Wolfmane discovers the lost-lost masterpiece of a great painter, thought to be lost forever. year 730 - Fenrick Wolfmane trades an eye for great wisdom. · year 730 – The Dwarves use a border skirmish as pretext to invade and annex a portion of Thechlon. The Dwarves receive a decisive loss at the hands of the Centaurs. Thechlon adds an eighth to its population as it absorbs the remnants of the Dwarvish army. year 733 - Fenrick Wolfmane is crushed to death when he dons a suit of cursed magical armor. Neither Fenrick or the the armor is ever recovered. year 770 - Towynea is conquered by General Arathorn. This is the main battle of the war. It also establishes that the dwarven forces are not unstoppable. year 809 - Hyalti Grimbiter founds an entirely new branch of the arcane arts. · year 853 - General Vevinar Moss leads Thechlon to victory over Dwarves. The borders of Thechlon are secured and the Dwarves are forced to fall back to their homelands. year 931 - Fortune Berry spends time in prison for a crime committed by someone else. year 966 - Mina becomes infamous for performing a comedy that openly mocks the clan chieftains. · year 970 - The wizards of Thechlon conquer a region of Oroford. Thechlon adds a fifth to its population. The Dwarven/Elvish wars end. year 974 - Mina daughter of Hyalti Grimbiter finds the long-lost legendary blade known as the Gargoyles' Cold.
