Using Roll20 as an actual gaming table.

Using Roll20 as an actual gaming table has been covered by my problem is new. I've been playing on roll20 for a while and now that my players are moving to a real tabletop and we're all hanging out again I have flipped a TV on it's back and have been using two accounts to have one for the GM which is on the main screen of my computer and then another for the players which is the TV on it's back. This was working in the testing phase as I was ramping up to finish a campaign on the setup but tonight my player account was logged out of the game and then it no longer has access to the game as a player. I tried to invite myself again but it just keeps saying that account isn't authorized. HELP.
You need to authorize the account via the email.  I've also had this happen to my dummy player account as well.  They just for some reason sometimes pop that authorization process again on accounts that are free and rarely used I think.

Are you using the player account in a different browser of on a different computer? Does the player show up in the list of players when you go to the Game Details page as the GM?  You could try kicking the player and adding them with a new join link. It's hard to diagnose what the problem could be.

Thank you guys. Read the other comment below first.  DM Eddie you're definitely right that they asked me to authorize the account again. It was working great the way I was doing it then suddenly this account, which I actually use more but doesn't have the paid subscription, was kicked off the game that my other newer paying account was hosting and this account was playing. So The Aaron I am using the same computer and the same browser and I was kicked off the game. Now when I try to send a new invite it won't allow it to authorize. I really don't want to have to run a second computer to do this when I know it can be done this way. Mostly because my other laptop maddeningly slowwww. Also if the forums say that this method should work then I'm highly suspect of going through the trouble of devising another more complicated way that could just land me back in the same pot of poop.  I appreciate you guys.
Oh wow. So I was signed in as Olithir A. here which is my paying account. Then by the time I clicked on the messages icon and left a message on the Olithir A account it submitted the message as Billy H. My other account.
Testing as Olithir A. Knock Knock.
So it didn't do it that time. I signed back in as Olithir A and commented and it worked. So this is a clue. whenever I click the link and try to accept the invite from myself I think by the time it navigates to the accept invite page it is now thinking that I'm the same account so because Olithir A can't invite Olithir A it says I'm not authorized. Best theory I got. Fix? I mean I can't imagine I'm the only guy that thinks Roll20 is amazing for in person tabletop gaming.

You are using the second account in the same browser? If so, is there any logical disconnect between the two other than a separate window? The second account should be running in a private browsing window, or if in Chrome, under a different Google profile. The Roll20 engine can become confused otherwise. If you do set up with this separation, instead of clicking on the invite link, copy it, go into your browser into the protected page and paste it there, ensuring that the line of invite and game opening is clean. Once you have done this, just make sure you always open the second account in its own sapce.
Keithcurtis you are right. I used a different browser just a few seconds before I checked your message and it's working for now. So the step I haven't taken yet is to use a completely different google profile to make sure Roll20 isn't trying to be helpful and sign me in as the correct account but I guess I'll see if this works. I suppose if I had to I could set up another completely different email and Google Profile that I only use for this application and keep it on a different browser always. I am pretty sure just the different browser is a fix but it worked for almost two weeks the other way so we'll see what happens. I appreciate everyone's help. .

Even a private browsing window should work if you don't want to go to extra setup trouble. And a different Chrome profile is pretty simple, too.

I use Chrome for my main account and Firefox for my test account. Then both accounts can stay logged in without getting confused.
I use incognito mode for chrome for the second account and just have the info for the login as a postit.
Thanks everyone. The separate browser works great. If I decided want to only use Chrome I think keithcurtis is right and an incognito window would let me run it all in Chrome.  Appreciate It!!!
So glad you got it set, this sounds awesome! Don't suppose you wanna share pics? :D
