Dynamic Lighting - Permanently Reveal Areas to Players

Hey all. New DM and new to dynamic lighting. In the maps (LMoP 5e in my case) is there a way to permanently reveal an area to my players? Things like the map title, scale, surrounding fields/greenery and legend? I have tried reveal area, creating a shape and dropping a free asset light source into it, using explorer mode and nothing is allowing those areas to stay visible. Is this just not possible with dynamic lighting? Thanks!

One option is to drop light crumbs in explored areas. The trick is also given the light crumb tokens sight and setting them to be controlled by all players so they can "see through" the crumbs.

If I was doing something like that, I would surround that area with dynamic lighting lines, and then drop a transparent token inside that had vision and shed bright light far enough to light up the whole area/text/whatever.  As long as the token is set to be controlled by everyone, then everyone should be able to see what it is revealing.
I gave this a shot with no luck, but I didn't set the token to be controlled by everyone. I'll see if that works! Thanks! Gonna give this a shot now. I tried something similar yesterday but didn't set the tokens to be visible/controllable by everyone. Any luck on this Cody? Also, if you do this with light crumbs, does it enable the party to see through walls? I guess what I mean is, my party have expressed regularly that they'd like to be able to see the map of rooms they have been in, but what I keep running into is even when I drop a light crumb, if there's no direct line of sight to where they were, they can't see it. I'm sure i'm just setting something up incorrectly.

That is why they need to have control of the token.  The easiest way to do that is to set it to represent and as the default token of a sheet to which all players have edit permissions.  Those permissions then carry over to the token where ever you decide to drag it out.  If they don't have control of the token, they can't use its vision, and can only see the shed light if it is in the line of vision of a token they do control, which seems to be what you are describing.
Yep, this worked for me! I'm having some other DL issues but I'm not sure if I created them or not. lol For the basis of this thread, light crumbs did fix my map issues!
