Trying a new tile mapping method...

This is how the room would look after you're done placing the tiles. This is how the room looks before you put all the tiles into the proper place. The drawback to this method is less flexibility. Using 3x3 tiles, I can create some pretty big rooms with lots of interesting features. That's not to say that you can't combine the two methods though. The BIG tiles would by 9 squares by 9 squares and have a variety of room configurations. Then you would use room connectors both internal wall types and external wall types to connect the big tiles together.
Any feedback on this method?
Looks good to me.  How big are you making your maps now? I haven't yet gone beyond 24x18 but I have some rally old maps that would be 10x that size unless split up.  BTW I would still like a way of loading the dynamic lighting 'blocking' as a hidden layer along with the corresponding maps/tiles.
Been busy with xcom enemy unknown lately... so I haven't done much mapmaking in Roll20. Gonna start working on a huge mega-dungeon delve just to see how far I can push it.

I like this method. I've dabbled a bit with something similar for the Deep Dungeon packs, but I haven't gotten any feedback/details on whether it's popular with purchasers.  Personally I think what you've got above is gorgeous with a lot of flexibility and a very clean look.  I'd love to see what a whole set would be like. I think you should continue with it. :)
I have just over one hundred of 3 sq. x 3 sq tiles done in that style right now and am just about ready to re-organize them somehow by shape/connections... I dunno and then export them in Blue, Red, Green, Grey, and Brown. Once I have those on the market, I'll work on doing the big room styles put them up as well.
