How to add Pre-Made NPC's to current Campaign / Volo's to Strahd Example

Good morning I purchased Volo's Guide as there are several NPC's that I wish to use in my current campaign (Curse of Strahd), for example, the Shadow Mastiff. However, when I click on the token imported from Volo's there are no stats nor is it linked to the character sheet. I tried associating the token to the Shadow Mastiff NPC, but it doesn't appear on the list. I thought by purchasing the add-on, these character sheets would already come made and not that I would have to go into the physical book and enter them manually. Can anyone help me please?

If it's in an Addon, you can go to the Game Details page on a Game (where you invite and kick players), and select it in the Addon dropdown, then add it to that Game. If it's in a Module, you can create a Game from the Module, then use the Transmogrifier to copy individual Characters across to the Game you want to use them in. Even in the case of an Addon, this is a nice option as it lets you be selective about what you bring over. Note that the Transmogrifier is a Pro Subscriber Perk. At a Plus Subscription, you can use the Character Vault in a similar fashion. Even as Free Subscription level, you can use the Character Vault if the Game you're moving Characters to is based on one of the modules that comes with Character Vault support.
Thank you for the reply Aaron. I've already Added on the purchased rulebook (volos) to my Game. Where do I find the transmogrifier? I do have a pro subscription, but am still new to figuring all this out. Sorry for all the questions.

It's on the My Settings Tab in Game, near the bottom. See: https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/360037774433-Transmogrifier

If you have purchased Volo's Guide, it comes with Compendium content. So long as it is available as a source in your game, you should be able to drag from the Compendium tab into the game and get a fully realized Shadow Mastiff. There could be an issue if you have already created something called "Shadow Mastiff" in your game, since the compendium will not overwrite any existing content (to protect your home brew or modifications). Make sure you delete anything called "Shadow Mastiff" from your journal tab first. The transmogrifier should not be necessary.
Thank you both for your help! I appreciate it!
Just as an update I tried both recommendations but neither worked. The transmogrifier is great, but Volo's Guide isn't a module, it's just a resource so it doesn't get listed under the options to bring over NPC's. Such a missed opportunity. And keithcurtis - Although I can search the compendium and find the monsters I need, all it offers is a drop down menu with the attributes and descriptions. When I drag it onto the map, it doesn't bring along a built in character sheet like the ones found specifically for Curse of Strahd. You can't drag the compendium assets into the journal.

Screen shots of what you are getting might be helpful. I can think of a number of things that could be the issue, but I don't want to go down any unnecessary rabbit holes.
