Character id issue

Hi all! I am new here and I am experimenting with macros, but I ran throught something I cannot understand... @{selected|character_id} return "-Mb8-Tjrt1NsidS9h--c" (which is also the id visible in the sheet pop up) BUT... @{-Mb8-Tjrt1NsidS9h--c|character_name} return " No character was found for -Mb8-Tjrt1NsidS9h--c " The character is mine, in an active campaign, if this helps. What's going on?! thank you for your time!

mayby try remove the first " - "? @{Mb8-Tjrt1NsidS9h--c |character_name} I haven't looked at charid or tokenid much, so not even sure how you'd supposed to reference them, or if you can do that.

You can't use character ids to refer to Characters as part of an @{ } reference.  It must be the Character's name.
