[LFG][Free] New to TTRPGs, looking for a regular group (GMT)

Hello all, I'm 39 and just beginning to get into TTRPGs, despite having been interested since my late teens (procrastination master over here). I've played one (short) intro game to D&D 5e and an intro campaign for City of Mist (great game, BTW), so I'm still essentially a complete noob. I'm looking for a regular group to game with, preferably weekends and evenings (GMT, give or take). I'm fine with mature content, and given my myriad of interests, I'm down to try out any system and genre. Mostly, I'm interested in the storytelling and character development aspects of a game.
I'm pissed that I don't have a game spinning up right now because it sounds like you are just the kind of player I'd be looking for.  Best of luck in your search!
No worries, and thanks for your reply. :)
If contemporary monster hunting/horror is interesting to you, with a John Keel-inspired paranormal twist, I'm running Cryptworld every Friday evening at 8:00 Pacific on an open, on-going basis. Storytelling is hopefully part of what I do, even if the mood of Cryptworld is not as dark as other horror RPGs and is slightly playful. Character development is built in with pre-generated characters that have backstories and whose experiences and changes will be worked into the campaign over time.
Hey Tom. I'm about to start running a Tiny D6 game. It's a simple and elegant ruleset, ideal for those new to the hobby. I have high quality mapping and items within the game. The starting adventure is a simple dungeon crawl. I've run it once before and it was a lot of fun. I'm looking to play on Friday or Saturday evenings starting about 7. GMT. You would be very welcome. Kind regards, Barry Stephenson
Hello Tom, I am the co-author of a tabletop system in development.  Our game is currently past the play-testing phase, so it's tried and true stable.  The system I work on is rules-lite so it's easy to learn, and it is designed to create cinematic moments for the characters to experience.  There is a table open right now during the weekends that we would love to invite people like you to.  If you're still looking for a game, feel free to message me privately or reply here. Clyax.
I'm in the gmt Timmons UK here can cm something or would love to play if you find a group
I am open with a LoFTP game.
Thanks to everyone who's replied and/or DM'd me regarding this thread. I'm overwhelmed with the responses I've received. I've now found a game that's to my liking, but I'll certainly keep a look out for anything you guys might be running in the future, as there's been some very interesting concepts pitched to me. :)
