Gonna just have to rage in cage I look forward to next level, where Marcy can harm non-magic resisters Marcuria Violezi: Rage Marcuria Violezi Class: Barbarian In battle, you fight with primal ferocity. On your turn, you can enter a rage as a bonus action. While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren’t wearing heavy armor: -You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws. -When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a barbarian, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table. -You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging. Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action. Once you have raged the number of times shown for your barbarian level in the Rages column of the Barbarian table, you must finish a long rest before you can rage again. Form Of The Beast Marcuria Violezi Class: Path of the Beast When you enter your rage, you can transform, revealing the bestial power within you. Until the rage ends, you manifest a an aspect of your inner beast. Any weapons manifested count as simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal. You choose the form of your manifestation each time you rage: Bite. Your mouth transforms into a bestial muzzle or great mandibles (your choice). It deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you damage a creature with this bite, you regain a number of hit points equal to twice your proficiency bonus. Carapace. Your skin hardens into tough hide or chitin. Your hit point maximum and current hit points increase by your barbarian level plus your consitution modifier. In addition, you have a +2 bonus to your Armor Class. Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it's empty. It is a light weapon that deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. It counts as a held weapon for the purposes of two-weapon fighting. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action. Tail. You grow a lashing, spiny tail. It is a heavy weapon which deals 1d10 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to swipe your tail and roll a d10, applying a bonus to your AC equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss you. Wings. A set of wings sprout from your back. You gain flying speed equal to your walking speed. Tail Marcuria Violezi Feat: Form of the Beast You grow a lashing, spiny tail. Dia Xiloscient , it's now your turn! Elizabeth K.: Can I cast Web to fill the chimney without it going far into the room and catching allies? Web Conjuration 2 Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Target: A point of your choice within range Components: V, S, M (A bit of spiderweb) Duration: Concentration Up to 1 hour Dia Xiloscient conjures a mass of thick, sticky webbing at a point of her choice within range. The webs fill a 20-foot cube from that point for the duration. The webs are difficult terrain and lightly obscure their area. If the webs aren’t anchored between two solid masses (such as walls or trees) or layered across a floor, wall, or ceiling, the conjured web collapses on itself, and the spell ends at the start of your next turn. Webs layered over a flat surface have a depth of 5 feet. Each creature that starts its turn in the webs or that enters them during its turn must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is restrained as long as it remains in the webs or until it breaks free. A creature restrained by the webs can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, it is no longer restrained. The webs are flammable. What door Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Just a bit more Farren, then we can go back to my place take a nice hot bath and you can have some of this expensive wine" Dungeon Master (GM): the pit looks to go at least 60 ft down Sirus: We unbarred that door already It's open. Elizabeth K.: Is there a door right under Roqar? Sirus: sure looks like it. Dungeon Master (GM): yes there is a door there Sirus: Marcy is gonna turn the wheel
ROLO: is there a ladder Dungeon Master (GM): no ladder around ROLO: what u think it was used for Sirus: dumping corpses? Dungeon Master (GM): the wheel is actually a pit Sirus: That's the pit? I take it it's pitch-dark. Dungeon Master (GM): well the pit does smell funny Sirus: Like "rotting corpses" funny? Or... ROLO: wow ghouls Dungeon Master (GM): yes pitch dark at bottom well, different than the ghouls ROLO: i have dark vision 120 ft Dungeon Master (GM): you still see nothing so, not giving off heat Elizabeth K.: You should have a light stone since that's how the humans are seeing. Toss it in? ROLO: i look down Roqar the Elf Rogue Shouts "This is Sparta!! and kicks the Drow into the pit Sirus: D: Dungeon Master (GM): oh geez Sirus: But not really right? ROLO: lol Roqar: No Sirus: lelz ROLO: rope Sirus: Yeah throw a light stone. If there's enemies down there we gotta kill them I wouldn't rope down into the pitch black Dungeon Master (GM): ok, best you can make out is maybe bones Juan Denero: i have a rope Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Ugh, the stench! They should just seal this pit shut." ROLO: we should check it out Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Urgh....fine. But i'm going first. Tie a rope to that table for support." Farren Nidanas the Elf Monk Laugh Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Someone hold the rope, I'll climb down" ROLO: i can cast invibitly and check Farren Nidanas the Elf Monk Says: "I will hold the rope " Sirus: Idea. Idea, anyone have a torch? Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so both Marcuria and Roqar go down ? Sirus: Feralda could Mage hand a lit torch down there ...50 feet, fuck Elizabeth K.: Didn't we already see down with the stone? Dungeon Master (GM): anyone have another 50 ft of rope? Sirus: Marcy has rope So she can donate +50 more Ok got it Dungeon Master (GM): yea, and you saw what looked like bones Roqar: Roqar has rope also Sirus: Feralda will cast bonfire in the pit 60 feet range so she can cast it without going down ROLO: nice Sirus: It should make some light, I think 50 feet down, 5 feet north of the drop point so they don't burn their footsies Dungeon Master (GM): so we are going with the bonfire now instead? Sirus: Yeah, if Rolo isn't putting a light stone down there I don't know if he was gonna Dungeon Master (GM): one was already dropped in Sirus: Oh ok then nvm Elizabeth K.: . . . You had the stone since you don't have dark vision ROLO: i dont have a light stone Sirus: He doesn't have one So bonfire it is! Elizabeth K.: Marcy had the stone Sirus: Ok. Marcy will throw it down there then y33t bone pit is lit Elizabeth K.: Nothing moving? Dungeon Master (GM): ok, then before you climb down the bonfire is sent down in and it flares up a bit in the process probably due to some gas then dies down Sirus: And yeah we'll go with climbing down. Dungeon Master (GM): it will keep going for however long the fire last Sirus: It lasts for... 1 minute.
Long enough to get down in there and see if anything attacks. Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so now Marcuria and Roqar climb down is the fire out now? Sirus: How long is a minute in game time? Dungeon Master (GM): well 10 rounds Sirus: outside of combat? Elizabeth K.: How wide is the pit? I think they might be climbing into the fire Juan Denero: juan will help Sirus: I am presuming it's wider at the bottom If so then it's 5 feet away from where the rope is, so they won't burn themselves getting down there ROLO: i will wait for news before going down Sirus: GM? Dungeon Master (GM): yes? Sirus: how wide is the bottom of the pit Dungeon Master (GM): as wide as you see it on the map I believe Sirus: ...it's 5 feet ....So ah, opps big opps Marcy will climb halfway down and look. Not going all the way down because bonfire ouch Dungeon Master (GM): she sees the fire burning away whatever is down there Sirus: Nothing moving down there? Dungeon Master (GM): no nothing is trying to come up out of there Sirus: Then she is going back up, content to not go down there again. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Marcuria Violezi: 17 | 13 ATHLETICS (4) Marcuria Violezi Sirus: relevant climbing check Dungeon Master (GM): ok Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Nothing. Let's just keep moving." Dungeon Master (GM): the dining room is filling up with smoke Elizabeth K.: Dia casts light on a new stone and hands it to Marcy. Sirus: Feralda dismisses the bonfire once the room starts to get smoky. Dungeon Master (GM): door in south east wall there ok, however, it still burns away whatever refuse caught fire down there just smoldering now Sirus: Ok, let's open door Looks like the end of the line... Last room. Dungeon Master (GM): The dusty room has all the trappings one expects to find in a dwarven kitchen, including metal dishware, utensils, and drinking mugs. A stone sink is equipped with a faucet. Elizabeth K.: 13 | 14 INVESTIGATION (7) Dia Xiloscient Roqar: 20 | 9 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar 11 | 10 INVESTIGATION (0) Roqar Sirus:check fireplace intensifies Investigation montage Dungeon Master (GM): ok, nothing is found in the fireplace not even a secret door Sirus: So that's it then. I take it the castle is now cleared out. Roqar: Checking for anything worth taking Sirus: I don't know that we missed any staircases or doors. (To Buddy D.): the roll to find the handprints one was just for the handprints not anything else, just so you know Roqar: Anything valuable in kitchen? Dungeon Master (GM): nothing worth taking really Juan Denero: ok Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Guess its back to Phandalin, come on Farren, if you want?"" ROLO: where we looking for something specific here Elizabeth K.: No. Goal was to clear it out so villagers could live here Sirus: No. Just clearing it out. Dungeon Master (GM): you mission was to clear the place out if anything was here and make the place safe for habitation ROLO: ty Roqar: No Clearing it out for Phandalin to hide from the dragon Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Right. Coast is all clear. Let's head back to Phandalin, get everyone moved in." ROLO: i couldnt remember Sirus: I 'member That was definitely the purpose Juan Denero: i sorta do Sirus: Wipe the castle clean So everyone can move in and not get CRUSHED by dragon
Juan Denero: now i member ROLO: are we getting rid of all the dead Dungeon Master (GM): one thing that is a head scratcher is why the ghouls decided to dig through stone instead of just claw away the softer wood on the doors!!!! Sirus: Ghouls are a dum Juan Denero: yup Sirus: They have less than 10 intelligence ROLO: maybe a secet passage Roqar: Now we go knock on the Mayors door Tell him its the dragon knocking, time to move out" Dungeon Master (GM): ha ha Sirus: Yep. Move us back to Phandalin then. We can get everyone moved to the castle, retire Feralda+Farren, and then...probably end the session I would say. Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE" ROLO: are we close to leveling up? Dungeon Master (GM): less than 4,000 away Juan Denero: this black dude with a cowboy hat is pimp Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard Says: "Off to Roqar's bathtub before we abandon the city?" Roqar the Elf Rogue Pays Homage to Tymora, Another sucessful job Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Don't think so, Dia. Rather not tempt fate." Dungeon Master (GM): ok, so we are back in Phandalin what are we doing while back in town? Sirus: Marcy is gonna go see the mayor, tell them it's safe to get moving Dungeon Master (GM): ok Elizabeth K.: And collect the advertised payment? Sirus: knock knock Marcuria the Human Barbarian Knocks on the door. Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "Yes, Yes, who comes knocking today?!" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "It's Marcuria. The castle's been secured. Now might be a good time to get out of here while you still can. Let's get everyone moving now, yeah? So you can be safe from the....the dragon. And stuff." Roqar: "Come on Marcy, It'll be fun" Aw You shoulda told him its the dragon, time to move out" Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "Oh Really? Good, Good then. Hold on I will get your payment for the job." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Roqar....not now, please. Not in the mood.....yeah. Sure." Dungeon Master (GM): a few moments later he opens the door a crack and sticks out a hand holding a coin pouch Marcuria the Human Barbarian Nods and takes the pouch. Says: "Thanks. We'll be right with you shortly." Dungeon Master (GM): the hand quickly disappears and the door closes shut again Sirus: Referring to sticking with the townsfolk when they make the move I forget, how much is in there Juan Denero: it better be a big pouch or this guy shafted us Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "Do me a favor and tell the folks at the inn to start packing up and we will form a wagon train to the fortress tomorrow morning. They'll help spread the news around town." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Do we go after the dragon next?" (From Sirus): For smoothly retiring Feralda, I might suggest having a courier deliver her a letter? Basically something that forces her to leave for elsewhere Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "I should mention we believe the orcs are still around as some were seen taking food from storage on a farm and some townfolks are having crazy nightmares now." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "We should escort the townsfolk the Phandalin to the castle. You never know." Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "Maybe go back to Wyvern Tor to make sure they are not coming from there still." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Not sure I like that idea. What if they shoot a raiding party past us while we're there." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Yeah, yeah, get them safe and then, go Orc hunting or Dragon hunting or whatever?" Harbin Wester the Town Master Says: "We are going to have to leave some foodstuff behind as we don't have enough wagons for it all." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah, sure....i'm not sure we should be going after that dragon quite yet though." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Hm. That's a shame. We could take some of the lighter stuff with us, perhaps?" ROLO: was it a white dragon? Dungeon Master (GM): ok, and i believe the dragon barrow job is the one job on the job board. Roqar: Yes it was
ROLO: ty Dungeon Master (GM): so you have wyvern tor and dragon barrow left as jobs now ROLO: how big ? Elizabeth K.: Can either of the new characters joining use a sword as their main weapon? Dungeon Master (GM): plus you have the green dragon near Neverwinter ROLO: dam 2 dragons not good (From Sirus): Would my idea work to retire Feralda do you think? Roqar: In the area of Thundertree Dungeon Master (GM): should we also retire Avery or keep her in the party? Sirus: I would like to keep her When she isn't getting consistently spooked she actually does serve a useful purpose (To Sirus): Yes we can retire Feralda, Farren and Avery (From Sirus): D: Juan Denero: gotta run be back next week Dungeon Master (GM): ok, Buddy See you then! (From Sirus): I thought we had agreed I could keep her ROLO: how about rolo keep him in the party? Dungeon Master (GM): of course unless you want a new character Roqar: Kick him into the pit Elizabeth K.: One of the new characters is also a bard. So he should be able to cover everything Avery was useful for. ROLO: no just joking drow are my favorite Dungeon Master (GM): ok (From Sirus): I am fine with retiring Feralda but...I sort of figured I was gonna get to keep Avery.... ROLO: hes been useful so far Sirus: Yeah Rolo's been great. Roqar: Because Hes a Drow, Into the pit he goes ROLO: lol (To Sirus): ok, no problem! you can keep Avery going! (From Sirus): Cheers! : ) Sirus: Avery stays. ROLO: i useally play a necromancer lol Sirus: Just talked in private with GM. Feralda can go tho Besides you need a backup bard apparently Because what are wisdom saves amirite Roqar: A Drow Necro? Throw you int5o5 5the pit while the bonfire is burning ROLO: lol Sirus: Btw, for a farewell for Feralda, i'd like to say that she received a letter from a courier, and her family got in big trouble so she had to leave to go try and help them, hoping there's still time ROLO: he wouldnt let u get close Dungeon Master (GM): ok, any other town stuff you want to do? If not go to the inn and meet up the new guys Sirus: To the inn. Need to tell them to pack things up anyways. Roqar: To the Inn Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Toblen, everyone here needs to pack their stuff up. Got a new home ready for the people of Phandalin. One that you can actually keep safe from the dragons overhead." ROLO: how much did we make for this quest Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Greetings Folks! So you have returned from Axeholm?" 250 gold Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yes. It's cleared out, and waiting." ROLO: nice Sirus: 35.7 GP for everyone. Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Oh that's good to hear! Was there anything in the fortress?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah. Ghouls. Lots of ghouls. They're how they should be now, though. Corpses." Dungeon Master (GM): just make it 36 ROLO: ty Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "We found a ring, I think." Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Sounds good. Oh a ring, neat. Can I see it?" Sirus: I think..Roqar found that ring? Or was it Juan Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Have you heard about problems with Orcs again?" Rolo the elf Wizard Says: "Oye Thyus, see a half-elf bard before ?" Dungeon Master (GM): let's say Roqar since she was the one that encountered it first Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Oh, yes, they are coming around again and stealing mainly food stuffs." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Glances over to Butterfinger, deciding not to justify that with a response.
Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "Oye kiddo, think you could beat me in a drinking contest ?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Once you're all settled in at Axeholm, we could probably help you out with that." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Oh yeah, this ring" Thyus the Human Warlock His ears perk up at the comment, "does it make a difference" Sipping on his ale. Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "I know I could beat you in a singing one :D" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Sighs and shakes her head. Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "cool looking ring there Roqar." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Don't let them get under your skin, Ave." ROLO: are they moving everyone from here to axeholm Sirus: Yeah. Thyus the Human Warlock concentrates on his ale Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "HAHAHAHAH... if you got something to say Barbarian, why don't you try saying it to my face ?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Okay. How about...."Watch your tongue, before I make you eat it?"" Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Hey, Good Dwarf, You want a drinking contest, You’re on, ready to challenge an Elf?" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Thyus the Human Warlock Glances at the The human approaching the Dwarf, "This is going to be interesting"" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "The barabarian can crack jokes alright!" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Not a joke. Don't start crap. I mean it. Unless this is your way of trying to get a little action?" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Looks angrily at the barbarian. Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "Dwarves are stubborn, you should teach him some action" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "If you got something to say. Say it to my pretty face, will ya ?" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Marcy, please don't." Thyus the Human Warlock Says: ""There is a simple solution to this - arm wrestle"" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: ".....Alright, dwarf. Let's try this, then. Do you care to back up that bragging?" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "hmmm... Fine!!! I am ready to bet 50 gp as well :)" Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "Come on, Dwarf, you and me, they cant take all their booze with 'em" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Nah. Real strength doesn't come in a single burst of arm wrestling. I'm talking something a bit more serious." Says: "You know what' going on around here, or are you too drunk to care?" Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "What's on your mind then" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "....We're planning to take on some dragons. The big overgrown flying lizards tormenting the good people of Phandalin." Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Drunk ? Me? You must be kidding alright XD" HAHHAHAHA Elizabeth K.: . . . Is that Butterfinger saying that? Butterfinger Fireforge: yea my chrome glitches with token selections Sirus: I think so. Please make sure the "As" thing is set up correctly. Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "A white one and maybe a green may be this way soon" Dungeon Master (GM): try mozilla firefox just don't bother with edge! Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "testing Butterfinger" (Firefox) Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "I have heard of the dragons, how do you plan on taking them on. Those are dragons after all" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Takes a huge gulp. Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "We're getting everyone out of this town, and to Axeholm. A safe place we just cleared out. In spite of the dirty, dirty mouths you two have, i'm still willing to extend an olive branch. Join us, prove that strength of yours, we'll slay some dragons, and you'll get paid. It's a work in progress, but i've no intent to up and quit until the job's done."
Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "Dragons? What is the situation right now ?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Not to mention, i'm sure the people here would really appreciate it." Roqar the Elf Rogue Says: "With magic dragon swords, guts and guile, you up for it?" Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Well, the town got attacked by a dragon recently. It's not safe here anymore. Not for you, not for anyone." (To GM): Cryovain's Location Roaming Threat The dragon Cryovain is currently circling over Logger's Camp . For more information, see P handalin Quests . Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "Me? dirty mouth? You must be mistaken., but dragon swords that is something I'm willing to go for" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "Hmm.. I don't mind helping ya take down the dragon.. But I need the innkeeper to pay me first for my performances " Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "How much does he owe you?" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "25 gp " Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Ok, yes, yes, I will pay you before you leave." Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "...Toblen. As a gesture of good faith, i'll put up half." Toblen Stonehill the InnKeeper Says: "Thank you My Lady." Sirus: So Avery will freely give 13 GP of the 25 owed. Dungeon Master (GM): ok Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Looks kindly at Avery and smiles Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "Well it makes sense they would pay you to leave. You aren't all that afterall, Fireforge." ROLO: how much for slaying a dragon Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "I have one condition tho Barbarian " Sirus: big monies ROLO: nice Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "What's that supposed to be?" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "We are yet to solve our dispute. And we shall do so after dealing with those flying lizards. Done?" Dungeon Master (GM): there is no job posting for slaying any of the dragons actually Sirus: The reward is "Not having everyone in town get eaten by dragons" Butterfinger Fireforge: Didn't Marcuria extend for us to join her tho Sirus: Yes. Roqar: So did Roqar in her own way ROLO: i hope they have treasure Dungeon Master (GM): Though i think the 1st module did mention to see about the green one as a job or not since the main job was to retrieve a family heirloom Thyus: dragons = treasure Sirus: I'm sure dragon parts would still be valuable right? Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "What say you Barbarian ?" Sirus: Like teeth, eye, scale whatever ROLO: sweet power hungry i am Marcuria the Human Barbarian Says: "Yeah. Sure, whatever. I'll take on whatever challenge you throw at me. How about we start calling each other by name, though? The drow over there is Rolo. He's no danger yet." Thyus the Human Warlock grumbles, "You can call me Thyus or just T" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "Fair enough barbarian.. oh I mean Marcy, I am Butterfinger " ROLO: i drink to there death Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Be polite, please."
ROLO: the dragons Thyus the Human Warlock Says: ""I'll try can't say anything about the dwarf"" Butterfinger the Dwarf Bard Says: "Polite? We aren't little children now, are we ?" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Oh. Yes...actually...Toblen, perhaps one good round of drinks would be nice..." Roqar: Yeah, right, sure you do Thyus the Human Warlock Says: "see?" Avery the Half-Elf Bard Says: "Had a few too many run-ins with Banshees..." ROLO: we ending here Sirus: Ok, I think we can stop here yea It's 2:01 Dia Xiloscient the Elf Wizard Says: "And a bit too much running from banshees . . .
