Hello everyone, I am completely new to D&D. I have had interest in it many times over the years and have a grasp of the basic concept of D20. I have never had anyone near me that wanted to play. Even when there were, there would only be maybe 1 or 2 other people and no one wanted to DM. I would like to learn to DM some day in the future when I have some knowledge under my belt. I am willing to play 5E, or really any other RPG. I am most interested in 5E, 3.5E, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Shadowrunner, though I would like to stick with 5E, CoC, and VTM. I am looking for a group to play with on week nights, multiple times a week or once a week would be fine. As stated before I am very new so I am looking for people who may have some patience and be able to kind of guide me along at the start. I am 28 years old and I am not entirely the most social of people but I want to use this to also kind of better my socializing skills especially with people I do not know. I live in Illinois so I am in time zone CST/GMT -6:00. I really hope to get this started soon!
