5e game looking for a single replacement character.

Yes I am running a 5e game and one of our players is going to gone until August and we are looking for another person to play. If the lucky joiner works well with the group they will be invited to stay on when the vacationing player returns. Please contact me for details and background information. I have been running games since the White Box (Hobbits and Treeents) edition and am 74 years old. We meet on Thursday nights. Hi Chris. If you're still interested I will send you an invite. You can use the 3 core books, Xanathar's Book of Everything and Thasa's Cauldron of Everything for your character design. It is a 27 point build and you will be starting at level 3. The group you are joining has an Elven Rogue (my son), Human Druid (a friend since White Box), Human Fighter (Thasa's custom linage teacher in his 30's) and a Halfling Bard (high school friend of my son). They are investigating the disappearance of a family that seems to have been taken hostage by Dark Elves and are currently trying to track them underground. They found that the farmers were protecting a hidden obelisk that was holding some evil at bay. The farm hands had been abducted by some sort of plant creatures and taken overland in a different direction. We are using Discord to talk. I play lots of theater of the mind and expect the characters to talk and direct the story. I'm more of a story teller aka: "The Hero has a Thousand Faces" and allow the players to determine the flow of the story. I start the group off after the zero session and get their desires for what they are looking for and go from there. If you join I will let the players fill you in as well as they can. It is important that you let me know when you are talking out of character. As to describing things on a map I generally give you limited information unless you ask pointed questions. Such as you are in a 10' wide 20' high tunnel sloping downward or the corridor ends at a 5' door. When the group comes to a point that requires action or they discover hidden items I will ask each one what they are doing and will try to resolve it to advance the story. When on a map, I am currently lighten an area as the group comes upon it, if it is not in full sunlight or if there is obscuring terrain in the way (cliffs, buildings, walls, trees and so on). I play a bit freely with the rules as at 74 I sometimes recall a rule from an earlier edition and the players have to correct me (not as sharp as I once was). My son and his friend have been playing since 2nd Edition as well as the teacher. Let me know ASAP if you still wish to join and I will send you an invite. If you join we will be kicking off this thursday at 7CT. Randy reblacklaf@gmail.com

I gotta say, its super wholesome to see people who have been playing D&D longer than I've been alive. (I'm 37) Let the power of storytelling bring us all together.
Hi! I was hoping to get more information about the time you all are playing if you haven’t found someone (or a secondary group) Im a semi experienced player since 16 (am 24) and would like to get back in the game more. I’ll be checking this daily (or try to) but discord is the best way to reach me Venich#9169 Thank you and I hope to hear from you!
